Definitely a needed video. Well it's scientifically proven that when we work in clear and decluttered workspace we are 5x more productive then we are at present. So declutter and organise your desk now! You will thank yourself and this video later.
Pomodoros are a good use for this type of activity but I often find for other types of work it prevents me from getting into a flow state or I get annoyed by not being able to do much in those 5 minute breaks and work back to back and combine breaks later. For those types of activities time blocking works better for me. In particular pomodoros for tasks I don't want to do but know I should do seem more intimidating at 25 minutues so for those I like to make mini pomodoros of 5 minutes and 1 minute break combined with set productive alternatives and empathy/kindness for myself. Completely relate to ur comment about the desk after covid, I just decided to get another desk in another area and make my current desk into my lazy station.
@Glen yes it's true generally we take things for granted as 25 minutes was a proposed time, as everyone has different needs it needs to vary otherwise it will not let anyone to be productive and we are using this to boost our productivity. I felt really happy and you are doing a great job by doing this , you are"staying out of crowd." Stay Safe and Healthy!
The joy part reminds me of Marie Kondo. Honestly I found myself doing what you did way too often and eating too much of my set productive minutes for the week. I realize by problem wasn't taking the time to organize, it was actually more about putting things back in the correct "place" and to make a "place" for it in the first "place". Also creating small atomic habits of cleaning up as I go about the day and before the day ends.
Yes it's totally relatable at start of lockdown it was the most unproductive phase of i guess most students life it was like resetting and definitely a small atomic habit creates a big difference one day.
@@ashutosh_windsor Absolutely! The good thing about phases is that they pass. They might come again but we can always have confidence that we can get through it again since we did it before. Keep pushing forward Ashutosh!
@@glen1742 Oh! Thank you so much for your comforting words and yes the bad time shall pass as after a dark night comes the dawn, let's just wait for it , a bit more! Stay Safe and healthy!
yes- totally inspired from Marie Kondo- though a lot of organizational experts recommend similar approaches, too. I will say Marie Kondo's book about tidying really is life-changing! Love the Netflix shows, too.
Well my desk is already decluttered and organised but generally it takes me about an hour to hour and half for declutteting monthly but i spend daily 10 minutes to declutter a bit or add something which will boost to my productivity.
