My best friend just went karting for the first time today, and we are planning on going together with another friend too this Summer! So excited! Ive never gone karting before but it looks like loads of fun

Having your first karting session in the dry is very good. My first 2 were in Wet and Intermediate conditions where the kart is undriveable. I had a helmet cam in one of them. Turns out I spun 22 times in 30 mins.

The way Katy corrected whenever the rear broke loose and how she was consistently on the edge through those corners, I think she'd probably consistently beat Matt in a race.

karting is sooo much fun, i went for my first time recently and im hooked. the feeling of getting a corner right is unmatched

I went 1st time when I was like 20 or 21. Never had driving license (some "unofficial driving" though but nothing much) so for me it was 1st proper "driving". Since I'm akward and it was a bit overwhelming stuff, I went into wrong direction after leaving "pits". Realized something is wrong quickly as track didn't read correctly (you know... seeing corners in "correct order" if makes sense) and looking back there was this guy weaving. Stopped (couldn't turn around fully so worker had to pull me back) Apologized and continued driving normal direction with lot of fun. Had been to "indoor" track few times but outdoor track with good corner combo just gives that huge smile on face every time.

I think with a little physical training to get a handle of stamina needed for karting (or just more kart time) and some positive coaching for more confidence in her abilities (mindset is everything) she probably would really surprise herself. Good on you Matt reinforcing her on the improvements she had made and the courage for her even to be on the track. Rarely does any great driver do it alone and i am really happy you were there to be her support. Well Done...Daytona.
