Just clicked.. you see 12 but really it was 21.2 I’m mid to low 80’s most rounds with the odd 90 and the rare 79 and I’m a 12

Mate, I’ve just started golf a couple months ago, had some lessons as a kid so I don’t look ridiculous when I swing a club, been playing a lot of 9 hole par 3s, shooting around the high forties usually, so I reckon I’m probably like a 30 handicap, any advice for someone like me? I’d love to break below the 20s this time next year once I have a handicap

@@ElGuapo4000 thinking back to when I first started golf, I would try and smash everything.. but now mentally I think I’m playing this at 90% but in reality it’s probably 98% but so much better contact.. you’ll hit the ball further and straighter having a slower more control shot with maximum contact.. Watch golf videos, James Robinson and his get good at golf is helpful but it’s about experimenting mate at the range finding what works and feel comfortable.. work on the things you struggle with

Unplayable is 2 club lengths from where you ball finished not just 2 club lengths from the Bush your in or you take a straight line of your ball to the flag and go back on that line as far as you want

a 12 handicap should break 90. as a 12 I break 90 most of the time. mid 80s generally. Depends on your course rating etc.

And if i was to lie, I would shoot a bit more higher and go for par and under lol. I'm merely stating from my experience what a 12 can shoot. Not sure why that bothers you but whatever makes you sleep

When I first started watching this channel in the earlier vids dec gave off such a serious vibe and was sometimes frustrating to watch, but now he has really come in to his own he doesn’t seem to be taking himself so seriously and I think is actually hilarious I don’t think a lot of people understand his humour which is fine but he makes me crack up keep up the good work guys 👍

Checked your rule on playing left handed. Under rule 16.1b, you have to have a reasonable reason to play the shot left handed, if it’s to escape a bad lie by taking a relief if isn’t allowed. No suprise whatsoever that you’d cheat tbf

Honestly much better shooting here than some vids. Its much easier to shoot low on your home course and it can be challenging playing new courses every week. Couple rough holes but pretty good

Sorry Dec, had to do it lol. Your left-handed shot has to be reasonable under the circumstances, which, in your case, it wasn't as you had a clear right-handed shot. If your right-handed shot was up against a fence with the cart path next to it, you could switch to left-handed and then take relief from the cart path and then switch back to right. What you've done is switch to left with a clear right-hand shot available so you dont get relief 😂 couldn't help myself, lad, and would absolutely have pulled the same move

He thinks it's an achievement because he's not 12hc. Trying to figure out the 18th hole. Looked like a 200yard drive, a half swing chip off the bunker ridge then 3rd shot he's 100 yards from the green. Must have flown that drive nearly 300 yards or walked it up to an easier approach shot

Getting a lot of grief, but Essendon New Course (blue tees) has a course rating of 73.7 and a slope rating of 135. Using the shot index, par score and Dec’s score for each hole, his handicap differential for the round was 11.226.

He was playing off the whites, which is 127/71.1 Gives him a differential of 14.1 using an adjusted gross of 87

@@bg-fl5kr Essenden website shows a course rating of 71.5 and slope rating of 128 for whites. So handicap differential of 12.8 (AGS 86). Either way, whatever info is used, he’s not a million miles off 12, playing a course he’s only played once before.

i am a 13 handicap and break 90 8/10 rounds and sometimes shoot 80/81. I do not understand how he is a 12 handicap struggling to break 90 also you can tell by the excitement of breaking 90 that he rarely has.
