I would like to comment on the question about why do a Muslim women who knows her religion would want to marry a Christian man or other faith. May Allah be pleased with us all. Some of our Muslim brothers are becoming monsters to their wives and sisters could fall in love with a Non- Muslim man who cares about her. Sorry, I disagree with your judgement. What if the man has good character, and will support her and take care of her, and what if she teaches him leads him to become a believer in Islam?
If he becomes a believer then thats good, they can marry. However, she cannot be around a man who she has these kind of romatic feelings for just in case of any risks like yk sexual temptations and those kind of thoughts and feelings humans can get. This is the same for a Muslim man, if he's intentionally around a woman who he wants in a romantic way, then there's chances for him to think and feel those certain feelings and then things that are haram can acc occur if things go forward, like dating, fornication etc. So that's why we have to be careful and keep a healthy distance between the sexes or not even be around them if we are able to control the environment we're in, like a party or something. Anyways, she can't be teaching him whilst they're married and together She should have a mahram ( A man who is NOT allowed to marry her like it's illegal for them to marry, e.g. her father, brother or blood uncle) around her. This way, things are more safer, the woman is protected and she and the disbeliever is less likely to be doing sinful things as her mahram will be present in the same environment. This way, they can all discuss Islam and help the disbeliever and believer out. Hope this helps a little. Anything I said that may be wrong is from me, not Islam.

There is a lesson to learn in both manners, but ideally we always look to try everything the Halal way. Allah can use us in Saving a person away from harram to bring into Halal, and I know of many cases when Allah puts you in a situation of Halal but the other goes into harram after the wedding. So in my opinion in today's world. I would think its better to get to know a woman without a mahram, but obviously in public only. And also visiting in front of other friends or family members to get to know the character of the person. The idea of Mahram is for the time of old. Today in most countries a woman has independence and safety even more than a man.

Selam! I am wondering, are there not many examples of Muslim men marrying non-believers and those non-believing women ended up spreading their religion onto their children. Then in that case, a Muslim man is not 'in charge' of a relationship, he can be 'controlled and manipulated' just as Muslim women can be, so isn't that haram as well then? In the places where inter marriages of different faiths are allowed the communities prosper as a whole because the level of division is reduced. In western countries where followers of islam immigrate but do not allow interfaith marriages of their girls there will always be conflict with ALL other religions.

There is no verse that says it's not allowed in the Quran, it's accepted as fact but it's not fact that a Muslim woman HAS to ONLY marry Muslim man.... don't get me wrong, there are good reasons for it but that doesn't make it fact.
Allah clearly states in the quran to not marry disbelievers but believers. And then the quran makes an exception (with conditions) for muslim men. Not muslim women. So it's pretty clear.
It's says Muslim woman is not to marry "non believers" not non-Muslim... Christians are not viewed as non believers because they believe in the same God as Muslims do, it doesn't specifically say a woman can't. However, it shouldn't be a common practice for men or women. But, there's instances of exceptions where this might be necessary, i.e. reverts who were already married to Christian. It's not a best practice for a Muslim woman to marry non Muslim, but it's not explicitly stated either.... however, I encourage you to do your own research, make Dua and remember that humans give you answers to the best of their ability but they may not fit your situation, so allow ALLAH to guide you, not me or anyone else.

I am a Muslim revert of 10 or so years. The hypocrisy and misunderstanding of so called scholars of Islam is such a shame and I’m sure it puts people off Islam. It did to me before I was Muslim. I saw so many claiming to be Muslim yet there was so much bad about them. Islam is perfect. Allah is the guide. Follow Allah who will guide you personally and do be swayed by the hypocrisy of those who claim to be ‘Muslim’. I mean no offence towards this guy is this video, I didn’t even listen to him talk and have no idea who he is and no desire to know. The Quran clearly stare a Muslim, man or woman , can marry a Jew or Christian. It is written. It happens. Yet the ‘scholars’ overrule Allah and forbid it? I have no teas yet but Allah. Anyone who follows anyone else’s opinion is demonstrating true shirk as Allah Subhanahu and the messenger, peace be upon him, are 100 % enough. It actually does sadden me that ‘Muslims’ make a career out of teaching their own misunderstandings and misguiding the vulnerable. As far we know that men is allowed to Marry Christian and Jews and they don’t need to convert to Islam and prophet saww grand children Hassan and Hussain As married to Jews without converting them to Islam . What if two christian marry then the woman reverts to islam is she supposed to divorce the man because of her choice eventhough they still honor each other's religions.. I love Islam and this is the only thing keeping me from converting and working towards stronger faith. 1% of people in the US are Muslim. Allah gave us our hearts, we can ask him for guidance. Perhaps seeking someone of Muslim character in this modern world is close to as good as seeking someone who identifies literally with this specific religious identity. Of course marriage will be easier with a spouse who shares your beliefs. But Allah the all merciful would hopefully hear your case, see your effort, the suffering you have accepted as repentance (like the difficulty of not sharing a religion). He may see your weakness and effort, and choose to forgive you considering the circumstances. It seems cruel and unusual to force people into a lifetime of celibacy or away from very good men and women based on a title that unfortunately can be so superficial sometimes. Let’s not forget the Quran was written for a middle eastern audience over 1500 years ago. It’s a miracle of god most of it still makes sense today. The rest is vague enough perhaps that is the point-so it can adapt as human culture inevitably evolves over space and time.

Islam also teach their husband to be kind towards their wife. If a husband was being abusive, then it is permitted for a muslim woman to ask for a divorce. There is a difference between controlling and a leader. Since the father are the head of the family. That is why the family needs to obey their father/husband. As for muslim woman marrying a non muslim man. Since man usually are much more stronger and have more stable minds than a woman. It is a risk since the woman could abandon her faith and followed her husband.
No verse categorically states in the Quran that women cannot marry people of the book. It is permissible according to given circumstances. If a Muslim man can drive her Christian wife to church why cannot a Muslim woman do the same. I think the scholars need to grow up a bit

I am curious as I did marry a Muslim man and he meet my family however for the 5 years married to him he never told his family in Pakistan that he was married to a mixed race Catholic women so I just verifying what the quaran actually says about this.

I can understand why a Muslim woman shouldn't be with a nun Muslim man. Men are usually controlling, so I can see a lot of women either being pressured, or forced in to changing her religion for her to stay with that nun Muslim man. I like your answer but how to answer this question when a non muslim ask me... A non muslim asked me that is unfair that a woman cant marry a non muslim man but a man can marry a non muslim woman... she knew that the answer is because Muslim man take on the religion of man... but she says even a woman can be reglious enough to make her kids muslim

What is not clear regarding; what happens when a Muslim girl marries a khafir then what should be the relationship towards her in the family Ie. Mother father brothers & sisters relationship towards her. How do they have to tramway her?
Interpretation makes a difference ! Please read the Quran, It is not in the Quran that a woman should not be married to ..... Mushrikin in Quran was reference to polytheism. Please read every Surah and not just focus on one Iaaah

That's what I thought too and read, I read the verse multiple times and it doesn't say non Muslim, it says non-believer/polytheists NOT non-Muslim. I feel like this is one of those things that has been misunderstood and passed down as truth and we need to fix it fast.

There's a verse in quaran that states a man can Marry someone of a different faith from scripture, i.e Christian or Jewish, is this true for women of Islam too ?
No That's what he is telling The reason for a man being allowed is: He is the guardian of the house, maybe the wife would come to Islam He is the head of the house, he will make sure the kids are Muslims

@ Coco, it's Because people confuse what is culturally accepted with what is actually stated in Quaran, there's not one verse that states women not allowed to marry non-Muslim man but it's accepted as fact and therefore presented as fact. There are good reasons for why it may not be best practice but that doesn't make it fact

And to decide something in lsIamic jurisprudence we have 4 things Quran, Haidth and the 3rd most important is ijīma and if u put ijīma before a law then it's the end after that u cannot say anything againdt that law cuz it's deemed to be followed and a musIim women can not marry a non musIim men and it's an ijīma.
