Nice job Chris! Very inspiring. I would not have expected hyrox to be as accessible as you say it is. Maybe I’ll give it a shot sometime. Thanks for sharing your experience!
@MarkLewisfitness is the first I ever heard of Hyrox. It looks tempting. But as a weak marathoner (no ultra), I was not sure it would be possible for someone like me. Thanks for showing how it might be done. Maybe. Someday.
Enjoyed this … thanks. As average an ultra runner but also someone hits the weight and hybrids style workouts hyrox has been on my radar for a while… must take the plunge. 👍
Hi Chris- how are you doing? Thankfully I have not been in your clinic as I have remained injury-free! In answer to your question: yes I do! I missed May so Nov London 2024. I have changed my training completely. More anaerobic and less distance runs. Weight training 4 times per week at a Hyrox related gym near me. My running has improved due to the strength training over the last 6 weeks. I feel stronger in my legs and I am about 5kg lighter- so back to my original running weight with lean muscle.
That was an interesting challenge and super impressive, I can’t see me switching disciplines but very interesting. Do you think there is any value in Hyrox training for endurance runners?
No, never heard of Hyrox before and my first thought was "Hmmm I wonder if this Chris guy is a bit of a masochist!!"😂😂 It looks horrible!!!😂 So I bet it's kinda addictive then!😂 BRAVO Amy getting you through it !!😂
