This is the most amazing upgrade ever!! It took us about 30 minutes to install. Going for a ride after that was amazing! It is like my Ryker is running on rails! It is simply unbelievable. Every Ryker ryder should get it. Wow! I don’t want to stop riding now. 😂

Looks a lot easier to install and more effective than an upgraded sway bar. Should come from the BRP factory that way.

Pot holes and bumps on the road can come out of no where and if you are not paying attention the bike take off left or right on you...looks like a must have especially at high speeds! Thx for video!

great video, these should be installed by the factory, I've only ridden these twice, both times at Can Am ride events, the first time was a preproduction model and I found it very unnerving at highway speeds, I thought it was a glitch in the handling of the prototype until I recently test drove the top of line 2023 Sea to Sky model and found it handles the exact same way, I didn't notice any cornering problems in my short ride but found the bike very unrelaxing and demanding constant attention and both hands on the bars at all times to stay in your lane, I need to drive one with a damper on it before dropping over $30,000 on one

Installed last night...simple. So far it feels much more stable in turns and over bumps. It definitely tracks better than before. I do think I got lucky and had a decent wheel alignment to start with. I need to see if it helps any with the VSS shimmy-shake in left hand turns.

I put my Ohlin dampener I had on my CBR954 track bike on my new Ryker 900 Sport makes the bike more stable, no more wondering on the front end. I have nerve damage on my left arm and hand so I'm only using my right arm and hand. When I put on the cruise control I have to let go of the handlebar to push the button the bike tracks straight. With the cruise on it makes it so easy to steer. The dampener is a must for this bike.

Just got a used ryker 900. On the 130 mile ride to my home, got tossed around like mad in truck drafts on the thruway at around 70mph. Truck grooves also were playing games with the little bike. Will be ordering one of these ASAP. Very nicely done video too!👍

Guess I know what I'm ordering soon. I rode my Ryker quite a bit on the highway today and even with aftermarket end links, it still shimmys and sways a good amount, especially when near semis.

@@mamamac_65 I show you all the tools you'll need in the video. I walk you through everything step by step. My goal when I'm doing these videos is to make it so that way anyone can do it. I would say yes it's a fairly easy install. The package will come with instructions as well. As long as you have the tools to do it you shouldn't have any problems. Hi i see it covers the oil filter cap. Do you need to remove the assembly when you have to do an oil change?

You don't need to remove the brackets so you wouldn't have to adjust anything again. You just need to undo the one front bolt then you would be able to swing it out of your way. What would everyone say is the optimal setting for control. Just bought a 22 sport, 3 months ago, definitely needs something to make it track on freeway better, I only have 300 miles on my Ryker.

To get it to ride straight and the really good on the straightways and in the corners would be the steering stabilizer, sway bar, and end links. Blr tuning does sell it as a bundle. www.blrtuning.co/products/ultimate-handling-bundle-for-can-am-ryker

Could you use a magnet to get the nut or bolt outta the skid plate? Like slide it over?

You can if that nut or bolt that you dropped is actually just metal and not stainless steel. Stainless steel or aluminum does not typically stick to a magnet.

I'm glad you noticed. LOL I honestly don't have a clue how I adjusted it perfectly and then threw it right back in the styrofoam. I did that all on one take there was no editing or trickery going on. I was impressed to myself and thought I'm going to leave that in the video. It took a lot for me to not say something while I was filming the video because I was sitting there thinking man that just fit right back in there after I just moved it back and forth a couple times.. LOL 😂.. couldn't tell you how it worked out like that LOL

Should you loctite the screws on the bracket that's on the dampner body?

If you're talking about the bolts that are in the clamp that keeps it snug onto the dampner... Yes you can put a drop of lock tape on those just use blue loctite

@9FNP Yes I believe we will have quite a bit more coming out this summer. I live in the Pacific Northwest so we pump out quite a few videos during the summer but then during the winter months things slow down a little bit since the weather gets pretty bad.

That would be entirely up to you. I think that doing the stabilizer kit is much more effective however a combination of both will definitely increase the handling tremendously. If I had to pick one I would just do the stabilizer kit that would be the best bang for your buck. The more expensive one would give you much further adjustment abilities and would also not wear out as quickly or anything like that. It's not that it's stiffer or anything like that it is adjustable. It's just heavier duty and higher quality

The olin's one is just a more popular brand. They've been building steering dampeners for many many years. They have better quality control. They use higher quality material. They are also extremely expensive for those very reasons. Most of the generic ones are from china. This doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Chinese products have gotten way better over the years. We have not seen any issues at all with the generic one versus the olens one. I can't be mad at somebody for going after the more expensive one however I honestly couldn't give you a reason why you should go with the more expensive one. You're pretty much paying for a brand. Some people like that stuff and some people dislike that stuff. So it's going to be completely up to you which one you go with. What we carry on our website is the generic one and we sell it as a kit ready to go right out of the box ready to install like you see in the video. The olens one is sold out everywhere and very hard to get a hold of. That's why we don't carry that one on our website. We are running the generic one on our bike and we absolutely love it. Do you see any issue with changing the oil filter with this installed?

When I go to do an oil change I will be making a video on it with that product installed so we can see how it ends up working out. As of right now I don't have an answer to your question. My thoughts at first glance is that you may have to remove the bracket on the frame and lift the entire thing up out of the way for the steering stabilizer to get to the oil filter. Again I haven't had to do it yet so I'm not sure.

Why would they design it to connect to the steering arm and not the drag link ???? The drag link reacts faster than the steering shaft and would in theory be better. I’m no expert just sayin.

I don't know but nobody's doing this so I give a lot of props to them. There is not a lot of people making brand new products. If you can design a better one I would encourage you to do so. First to market always makes more money than the next guy. Just sayin.

For the ohlin's steering dampener yes.. and that's not because someone's overcharging for that brand. Go look them up their stuff is extremely expensive. Like I stayed in the video you can't get any better than that though that's the best brand in the world right now for a steering dampener.

I guess that's all going to be personal opinion. I guess you also have to put into perspective how much it costs to have a machine that cuts everything precisely every single time. The laser engraving machine that they used to engrave their logo. The high quality stainless steel hardware. Then of course the cost of the actual steering dampener itself. Then you have to also consider the over 200 plus hours of Labor it took to come up with the design and do all the testing to make sure that it works flawlessly every single time and is not going to cause injury by breaking while you're going down the freeway doing 60 mph. I manufacture parts myself and I know what it's like to start from scratch on something that no one has ever made before. So yes you're right some people are going to say that it's too expensive. Other people like myself are going to tell you that they should be charging more than that. The price to the end user is always just going to depend on how much they value the product and how much joy they get out of using it.
