Right side is pretty easy. Left side not so much, ARRRRG! I can't line up push pins after install. It won't budge. That darn duct blocks it. Any ideas? 2014 RT-S sm6. Makes opening and closing the frunk difficult. Lights look pretty darn good though. Gonna keep trying. will keep you posted.
Awesome LEDs, Easy enough to do it yourself. However the left side is a little challenging takes a little more patience and maneuvering the lid to the light housing area.
…well Brandon, not as simple on the 2015 RT LIM. There are four nuts that hold the fog light panel together, and they are not easy to get to….arrrrghhhh😮
You made a cut getting off the right cover. How did you do it? There are three screws that hold together the bottom chassis with the upper one. And two of them are unreachable from the side.
@@Slingmods when will u be putting the video out I'm in the market to do another mode ASAP written instructions aren't enough when doing electrical mod I find that having a video is easier to follow
2016 Spyder RT-S: left side fog light access very difficult to access. Intake air duct(?) blocking removal of cover from rear of fog light. Right side does not have any obstacle from doing as your video shows. Any suggestions other than removing left side panels and the intake duct(?) completely? Gave up after an hour or so trying to figure out how. Had no problems installing my LED headlights. Love’em! Guess I’m stuck with a turd in the glass bowl unless you can suggest an easy fix fir the left side.
Hello MCA, I hit up the MFG on this as they've personally installed hundreds of these over the years. They said you can also unscrew the whole front section, 5 bolts just to pull the frunk off a few inches.. which will make a world of difference. They also mentioned that's it's inevitably more difficult with larger hands. If you end up deciding against installing these you can always return to us for a refund as well. Thank you!
Slingmods.com as much as I hate to I’m going to return it unless I can figure out a way to get to it before you authorize my returning it. Thx for your prompt responses. Great customer service!!!
Slingmods.com how do you remove that panel that is just over the fog light? Can I remove that panel without messing with the trunk? Seems from your video that showed the panel removed on the right side that that would solve the accessibility problem on the left side also. Or am I being just a little too naive with my reasoning? TIA for all your help and responses..
Ok. Finally got the fog K LED lights installed. As I said earlier, the right side was no problem when following video. BUT the left side was a real pain in the ass to get down. I finally got the left side after 5 hours of puzzling how to get the light cover off the to insert the LED properly. I did complete the install with bruises and scratched hands. The worst part was trying to get the light cover back on. That intake duct is the major obstacle to the whole process. All being said, I LOVE the lights. Really gives off great illumination up front. Next time(if ever) I’ll pay a mech to do the install!! Oh, one tip: black wire from Spyder is the negative connection to the LED plug in.
