Wow this was STRESSFUL! But fun? but stressful... but fun!
So! I've decided to invest in a nice PC for video editing, streaming, gaming and stuff. After having a friend help me choose all the perfect PC parts for the job inside my price range, I realised that thanks to Covid I was probably going to have to put all this stuff together myself. OOP.
I kind of wanted to - I am NOT a techy person and I wanted to be familiar enough with the inside that I could replace parts if I needed to. But my GOD I stressed myself out doing this. But I was successful in the end!!!! ... eventually
Once again, a huge thank you to Sam ( / justscruffysam ) for the parts list and Ken ( / hutchx86 ) for helping me solve all my software problems. I couldn't have done this without you guys!

I used to build my own PC's, but there are so many component compatibility stuff these days I just get a local computer repair shop to build them for me. :p

I considered buying a gaming PC but I was so intimidated by the price and all tech specs. I love technology but I don't know much about it 😅

The first one is scary, but the next one will be much easier! Especially if you do the maintenance and part replacement on this computer yourself! I will say though, I wouldn't have the patience to wait 3 days to use a new computer.

Hahaha I think it was blunt perseverance more than patience and I was really lucky to have the help I had! But I totally agree, now I've done one I think that maintenance or even building another one would be much much easier

Where's the parts list then? I was nervous for my first build didn't want to break anything but looking back I had loads of fun and now super comfortable doing it again.

kudos for trying AND being successful in building a frigging pc!!! I didn't even dare to try to do it last year and paid someone to build it for me. Whenever I have to use my hands to change and/or install something, it takes forever because I'm afraid to break something

The way this motherboard CREAKED when I had to push a part into it made me want to freak out!!! It really did constantly feel lil I was gonna break it 😂😭

Well you're braver than me. I recently built a new PC after for some miracle I found a 3070 being sold for less than 3 million dollars and I ordered everything online, the shop built it for me and got it delivered. girl i don't know what a flux capacitor is just give me the gay lights also it wasn't a boring video, this was literally me if I had had the balls to do this myself and I now know I made the correct choice 🖥️

🤩💕 Dumb luck saves me yet again! A friend said to periodically go and tap the radiator so I did that, maybe it helped hahaha

@@JTurn it was pretty lucky! damage from static in your hands is, to be fair, pretty rare, but it usually makes whatever part that took the brunt of it dead unless you know how to fix circuit boards, so i personally take protections against it very seriously lol. also the wrist straps are only a few dollars so it's a pretty cheap measure to take. now that it's been on and running i'd definitely use an anti-static strap if you have to open it up and make repairs though cause that can increase the chances of an arc!
