If they did a Bully 2 I personally would like Jimmy to still be the main protagonist. They should have a rival school that Gary ended going to and Jimmy has to go there undercover to find out what Gary's plan for revenge is.

Imagining what they could do with a modern take is head-spinning. Multiple relationships, activity choices, working part time jobs, buying your first car, etc, etc. Unfortunately while gaming graphics and memory has improved to near-perfection, good storytelling and unique game worlds with real choices are almost non-existant.

Man, Bully is stil one of my all time favourite games. It kind of felt like a simulation game, but you got to do all the things you couldn't do as an actual student. You get access to the surrounding areas and then you can choose to go to the carnival all night and end up passing out.

Now that most of the studio leads like Dan Houser and Lazlow have left Rockstar, I wouldn’t expect any Rockstar titles going forward to be anywhere near as good as the pervious entries. Even GTA 6 which is rumoured to be in development hell, will probably be an Online focused, microtransaction mess.

we'll see. RDR2 is honestly the best game I've ever played. It's not my fav, but it's definitely the *best* and I haven't even really liked any other Rockstar games since San Andreas and Bully.

My favorite thing about bully is the world. The small and condensed world has alot more personality than most large open world games. And the fact that you can see the same students walking around

I really doubt a Bully 2 would be nearly as good. Rockster has really shifted their attention away from putting the player into the story and instead running the player through their predefined story. The tightly linear mission design in the newer titles is a sharp contrast to older ones like Bully or San Andreas.

What about: Hitman 3 P5 Strikers Monster Hunter Rise Nier Replicant Lost Judgement Returnal RE8 Rift Apart Neo TWEWY No More Heroes 3 Tales of Arise Scarlet Nexus Guardians of the Galaxy SMT 5 Ports/Remasters like Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Skyward Sword, Death Stranding Director's Cut, Alan Wake, Crisis Trilogy, Control, Nioh 1+2, Yakuza 7, Crash 4, All the Kingdom Hearts games on PC, Jedi Fallen Order, Doom Eternal, FF7R Intergrade, Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. Yeah if you only look at the big releases like Battlefield and GTA Trilogy it's easy to say all AAA games are terrible, but if you actually look at the other releases this year it was pretty good. Not to mention there were also some pretty good Indie games, there was lots worth playing that came out without problems this year.

Bully 2 would probably be a giant target for "journalists" to create controversy around promoting bullying. I still hope it happens though. The first game was pretty dang good. I recently got an Xbox 360 and played through the scholarship edition. Despite the slowdown issues it was a lot of fun to replay.

this game is more thoughful and more nuanced about systemic and personal bullying in school than a milllion bullying PSA's. If I were a teacher, I'll put this game as part of a curriculum in high school. I'm not even kidding about how good this is at getting in teenagers angsty minds and understanding why they bully and who bully them.

unfortunately the PS4 version isn't the scholarship edition that had a bit of extra stuff like a couple more classes. it's much better, but unfortunately it was only available on PC and XB 360

Rockstar did something amazing when it came to Bully. They weren't afraid of trying something different. As great as the game is, I always put it aside, with the intention of getting a copy someday. The "Walking the Walk" video has definitely persuaded me to finally buy the game after all this time. As a side note, it's unfortunate that Bully will never get a sequel, even though it deserves it. Society is simply too sensitive. Even if a sequel did come out, it would either be watered down or it would receive a lot of controversy. The chance of it seeing the light of day is practically non-existent at this point. Otherwise, thanks once again Karak for the wonderful content. I always enjoy these types of videos. I really appreciate the continued hard work. Keep it up! I hope that you have yourself a safe and enjoyable Christmas!

They could use the old formula of past GTA games with the locked islands. Instead of islands, you could get older as the game progresses and go from grade school, to middle school, then high school. You could have friends and enemies carry over into the different schools depending on choices made in the previous school. If they wanted to make dlc, they could set it in college or kindergarten.

I would really love a game that lets you start in school and depending on how the first half of the game goes academically defines your life in the second half, so do you end up in a ghetto or are you well off? and this sets up different characters for the story to really intertwine till the big climactic end where choices all through the game defines the outcome.. ofcourse id say this would be a subsystem night mare

I've had a Bully 2 dream game in my mind for years. Rockstar clearly takes a lot of inspiration from movies in their games, so a sequel where you play as a girl that's inspired by movies like Mean Girls, Heathers and Jawbreaker sounds like something they could really sink their teeth into. I'm imagining a deeper clique-system and more focus on psychological fights and pranks against each other. The original game is a gem in Rockstar's library and anachronistic tone of it managing to seem like a 50s boarding school, but with the 00s sensibilities in it gave it a very unique tone. Gary is an amazing villain that I think it's a shame we didn't get more of and his growing megalomania and antagonism towards Jimmy is a treat. Rockstar just has a fun with a lot of the stereotypes afforded to this setting without getting to crude. Hearing that the Halloween prank was originally gonna have you kill rats instead of getting dog poop is a sign that Rockstar knew when things got too rough for this setting and would've taken away a lot of the charm of Jimmy. He's a very likeable protagonist in the overall story of the game and I'm glad they went away from the idea of him BEING the bully to actually fighting the bully. Also the music is just amazing, I still listen to the soundtrack occasionally. Great video

Ok so if by any chance this rumour/leak is true that bully 2 exists and it might even release instead of another cancellation then I am all up for it. But since some of the key people left I don't how they'll pull it off and yeah employees come and go as they are not binded to a specific job for their lifetime but that question about how they'll manage their development without those people still remains but it's also strange that they are going back to bully and not GTA 6 cause that is like the most anticipated game for every living soul on this planet but again if bully 2 exists then I'll gladly accept it but yeah we'll see.

43:45 side note you do get to go into the funhouse during a mission for the nerds later in the game, but yes I do wish I could have gone in there at any point to see it outside of the mission.

This is my favorite Rockstar game hands down. Fun combat, tonnes of mini games, incredible voice acting and a fantastic story to boot. It's one of the few open world games I've replayed several times because it's so fun.
