Hi Dr Rupa, I have a lot of floaters in my eye the thing is I have so many I am going blind. I am only 40. these floaters are not normal they are like long strings, like a snake or a worm. I feel like its like a parasite in my eye, or bacteria. I go to my eye doctor but says its normal. It just keeps getting worst and worst.
I have these bad in one eye. Also have pre glaucoma, but the drops my Neuro Opthamologist has me is working wonders. Except for the floaters. Guess I'm stuck with them. Thank you. I didn't think castor oil would help.
I have seen my floaters. That I've had for more than 30 years, begin to fade with castor oil use. Been rubbing castor oil on my eyelids and msm drops. I added the oil about 3 weeks ago and it has helped already.
Everything means something and the best way to find out whether it's important or not is to get the examination. Ask your primary care doctor for a referral. Always share your concerns with your doctor. If your doctor doesn't seem to be listening . . . get a new doctor. Your health is too important to stay with a doctor who doesn't listen and discuss your concerns.
Very interesting video, thank you. Will you please discuss epiretinal membrane. I would love to know your opinion regarding if cataract surgery can make this worse.
I have a large black round ring floater in each eye and smaller gauzy curtain ones. This happened 18 months ago and the doctor told me that my brain would adjust to them but it hasn't and they are very annoying. I wish there was a safe procedure to get rid of them.
Doc, I had cataract surgery in December 67 year old male, toric lens put in because of slight astigmatism in both eyes. Had blurry vision that did not go away. My surgeon said the yag was not needed in my case. Went to a second doc and at first he wanted to do yag, but then changed his mind. Not sure why, still have apt with him at end of the month. Frustrating to say the least. I see kind of a clear fluid pass in front of my eyes. Anyway, is there a tell tell sign to you as an ophthalmologist that yes yag is right or no it’s not? Another words from a eye check, can a doc tell if the floater is from cataract surgery so yag would be used, or no it’s not that but floater is in the vitreous part of the eye.? Thanks
Would I be able to take strabismus surgery if I have amblyopia,no depth perception and almost no control over that particular eye??? Please ma'am answer the question . It's ruining me. Please ma'am

Hello, i have symptôms of a conjonctivitis and infection,(very red eyes, eyes lashes get stick when wake up, and there's sécrétions during the day, and a grey circle that circle the iris) since 2020, and i've seen like 4 ophtalmologists and they give me almost the same treatment like a corticoïde and antibiotics، and the symptôms reampear right after the end of the treatment. I even tried ciclosporine to avoid side effects of long terme use of corticoïdes. I also know that I have meibomian glands dysfonction. I want to get help.
Hi Dr. Rupa, You provide excellent detail information. I have had FLOATERS for 30 years. I had great fear of a detached retina, since I was at -8 diopters at that time. Thank you!
