I did enjoy every minute of today's episode with McKeel. So, true confession on the topic of keeping some paperwork when selling a car: when I sold my first Porsche in the early 80s the owners manual was one thing that I kept. I had bought this '67 912 from my buddy's family. A couple years ago I got a call from the sister who was looking for her mom's yellow 912. Well in the owners manual were the engine & chassis numbers though the search has yet to locate it in the U.S.. She did have better luck finding her mom's 356 a few years prior. Her story was in Panorama.

Really good episode guys! You could have probably done several hours talking with McKeel. Good to hear the major shout out for Panorama. Rob and the staff create an amazing product. The subscription to Panorama is worth the annual PCA dues.

I like all cars also ( EV and ICE ) I just don’t like the massive depreciation on my EV. I’d imagine bigger budgets than mine might care less? Maybe what you save on parts to repair you get hit with depreciation and it all equals out? For example my fuel pump just went on my 99 996. Had to tow it to shop, parts and labor etc. My EV doesn’t have those type of mechanical issues

I wonder what aspect of Collector Cars is considered to be needing saving. Is it interest in cars of a certain era or marque? Or is it the financial outlay by those considering these as investments? I believe there will always be those that fondly relish various aspects of one's younger days, of which the automobile plays a major role for many.

I love my Taycan Turbo S and must as my 992 Turbo S and my 993 Turbo. They are all great cars and no doubt are built from the same Porsche DNA.

Hagerty rejected me and my cars because I had kids on my policy. :(. Has that practice changed?

It would be easier for me to have a favorable view of Hagerty as a company if they had collector car insurance rates that were competitive. My experience with them is that they do not.
