More info regarding the outro: It's not POTS. I really wish I remembered to actually say that in the outro, because I know with no doubt in my mind that dozens of people will message me to say it's POTS. I know that because I've already had dozens of people tweet me that it's POTS over the last month. I had the same thing happen 2 years ago when I had another medical problem that was also nothing like POTS. My symptoms are almost totally unrelated to POTS, there is nearly no overlap.

I love how MDB went from refusing to even use speed up in his runs to hacking in rare candies to save time on not doing the lottery, and I mean this in the best way possible

The doctor you get makes such a big difference. I was hospitalized with pancreatitis earlier this year. I went from the best doctor duo who explained everything in detail and answered all my silly little questions to this doctor who told me to stop crying because men don't cry. Like. My splean was crushing my lungs. I couldn't breath and standing up made the heart monitor think I was having a heart attack. I think I can cry you degree bearing loser. Hope you keep getting the good ones man. Good luck with your medical journey.

As someone going through my own health issues currently (and for over a year now without a clear diagnosis), I get similar comments about not working while you're not well, and I get how unrealistic it is to just say "take time off and rest". Bills don't just go away. So I'll simply say that I hope you can figure out what's going on soon, and that your symptoms remain mild enough until then that you can do the things you enjoy doing. Love your videos and wishing the best for you.

Gastly not being in the Hoenn Dex did feel somewhat weird, but it was definitely warranted to give the new ghosts (especially Duskull and Shuppet more than Sableye) the proper spotlight without what came before in its way, having more than doubled the total Ghost species

No idea if anyone disagrees, but I think that if something can be grinded for - such as coins via Voltorb Flip, money/items via trainer rematches, or the like - that it's fine to just add in the thing that you would be grinding for.

Challenge Request: 4 years ago you did one of your hardest challenges, a Bellsprout named Oddish in FRLG, why not ante up the challenge to "Can I beat Pokemon BW2 with ONLY Bellsprout?" I think it would be a fun one to watch but can't imagine how hard it will actually be since Bellsprout is weak or resisted to 6 of the 8 gyms. But really, I wish the best recovery MBD, hopefully your doctors can figure out whats wrong despite being one of the healthiest people I know with your habits. Don't push yourself too hard and we're all here rooting for you to get better. I know you have to put out videos because the bills don't pay themselves but a lot of us are always willing to head over to the tip jar that is patreon for ya.

I can confirm for MDB that in emerald, Brawl literally only has fighting moves for damage, so any ghosts can solo the gym. Including the sableye you can find right next to his gym. In ruby and sapphire Brawly has ONE move that can hit ghosts. Knock off. The 20 base power special move on makuhita which has base 20 special attack. Which is neutral vs sableye for the record.

I just wanted to say I often use your videos to fall asleep (because your voice is soothing and because I can picture Pokemon games front to back with my eyes closed), and I've really appreciated your content. I always knew abra had incredible stats for a first stage pokemon that weak, but for some reason I never thought gastly did too? Neat. Levitate is a brilliant ability and base 80 speed and 100 sp atk is insane. Great run as always, it seems like your health has been super volatile for a while now - hope things get better man you deserve it

Not sure if you'll even see this considering it's been a bit since the video went public, but I thought of something I really want to write down for the hypothetical MDB that might see it. It may or may not be because it's 3 am and my mind is doing weird things (3 am woo), but the outro really hit hard for me, especially the parts near the end. Without getting too much into it, you are legitimately so strong. Like mentally or force of will or whatever you'd call it - that kind of strong. By the end, you're pretty much narrating about how the things you wanted to do just couldn't happen like that and that there are some minor contingency plans in place, and then it just hit me that what you're describing could be mentally destroying to most people. Like I have some everyday minor pain that I guess is chronic, and you're out here taking worse and not letting it bog you down. Uhhhh yeah, I don't have anywhere else to take this, you're just genuinely one of the most optimistic and strong youtubers (really media personality in general) I've ever had the pleasure of watching for at least 4 years (yeah I didn't have a youtube account then). It's really admirable.

Sympathies from the states. I've discovered a way to develop epilepsy in my "early middle age" era. I've seen several doctors, done hours of testing, nearly fractured my orbital socket, got four staples in the back of my head, nearly crashed my car, and spent the last week in bed. There's no diagnosis, and no theories. This week specifically I've had extreme G.I. issues myself! I have a uhh... "take home bag" from the hospital they're expecting back sometime tomorrow.

I'm in no way shape or form a medical professional, but I have to say that final doctor that was really good sounds great. As someone who's dealt with tons of medical stuff, I very much appreciate a doctor who cares and who wants to rule out everything. Also, my American ass self was thinking "damn all those doctors visits must be expensive" before remembering MDB is in Canada 😭

As soon as you said "hack in rare candies" Idk why my mind thought "just watch Verlisify makes a video calling you a fraud and a cheater in these runs now" when this is solely to show if beating the game with this one Pokemon is possible without items in battle. Like you could literally hack the game to give Gastly perfect IVs and the most beneficial nature and it still wouldn't change anything.

I love how radically different MDBs health updates are to that particular RU-vidr who faked cancer. That guy would constantly try to farm sympathy for his "condition" and use it to justify everything bad that he did. He would bring it up all the time as well. MDB meanwhile talks about these horrible things with a cheery tone and a laugh, he brings it up not for sympathy or money but because his audience genuinely cares. You are one of the most genuine people on RU-vid and that is why we love you MDB. It's like what Robert Meier Bernette says "authenticity will be currency of the internet", and you are the most authentic people here. We love you and get well soon.

Fun fact, Fire Red actually released earlier than Emerald. I don't know why people seemingly don't remember this. A good number of Kanto and Johto Pokemon got their lv up movelist revamped in the Kanto remakes, but for whatever reasons they just reused all the Ruby/Sapphire movelist in Emerald rather than using the updated movelist from the Kanto remakes.

I remember when I was a kid I had my appendicitis though we only found out because my kidney was extremely swollen due to blockage. I distinctly remember sitting on the bed st my grandma's, alternating between severe headache/stomach pains, loudly sobbing, and puking. I was a mess... Uh... Story aside. I am not a doctor, but when I heard how much water you're drinking daily, my first thought was, "Is he overhydrating?" Obviously listen to your doctors and not some random nobody on the internet, but take care, and here's hoping to quick diagnosis and a quicker recovery.

Dsmn man.. it's rough for sure. I try to remember how, through our weaknesses, we can develop strengths beyond comparison to others. Once you learn a certain pain, others are nothing by comparison. I’ve noticed, MDB, that you tend to forget that torkoal has insane physical defense. Hit flannerys whole team with special moves in your runs (if possible) and she won’t be too bad (unless resisted)
