Kami: You must be so proud. Neil: Your precious grunt is becoming a man. Piccolo: Yea, but... I mean he could be dodging better. Piccolo is never satisfied. Or at least he doesn't admit it. BTW, I'm pretty sure that is the second longest running gag in the whole DBZA, from ep 5 to 60.
See I don’t I wish he explained it like idk what going on tbh this ain’t mons this fisty punchy punchy ons I just don’t know what this is lol I just wish he explain it more
Just imagining Goku sitting in the back, cheering Yamcha on. "WHY AREN'T YOU HELPING!" "Because I have confidence in you Yamcha!" "I'M BLEEDING OUT GOKU!"
Nah I have the OP farmer without shotgun bakugan with its special ability I'm allowed to CTRL-ALT-DEL my opponents Power Ranger with the price of sacrificing superman
I feel like I stumbled into a parallel universe where my favorite thing has been replaced by something I barely know, so it feels like everyone is speaking a different language. I'm scared and alone and confused and there are strange muscly men everywhere and none of them are Machamp and it's not Jojo's. Someone help! SOS!
@bryan diaz varela Okay, you just said something that is gonna get you mauled by the more hardcore fans. But my point still stands. GT is NOT CANON. Super IS CANON.
I actually find it more entertaining that there's no formal introduction. Like the dragon ball rom hack is treated as the most normal thing. Thankfully I just started watching the lp of this hack so it makes more sense to me
"Can you beat FireRed with only Yamcha?" * thumbnail has DBZ character * Me: Oh, this is probably just a joke because there's also a DBZ character named the same thing as this pokémon. * watches video * Me: Oh. OH. _OH._ *OH.* *_THIS IS WHAT IT IS, THEN._*
1st rule of pokemon: If you have a combination of letters that can be pronounced with reasonable ease, there will eventually be a pokemon with that name.
I honestly thought this was going to be a silly 1 minute parody video of yamcha failing to fight Pokemon, but this was amazingly in-depth and interesting. I want that game now!
"Letting me get the leftovers on this tile that in an alternate universe may have made sense." (10:56) I KNEW SOMETHING WAS OFF. There should be a Luffy eating here.
Reminds me of a fave line from dbz abridged, “gohan? He’s not on the list!, hell yamcha was on the list” “W-why?” “Half show entertainment” “Frankly it feels good to be included”
4:29 Okay, so besides this being a perfectly normal video, does anyone else notice the... ahem... *unfortunate* placement and movement of the fist attack icons against the "Pokemon"?
As someone who's never watched a single episode of Dragon Ball, I finally understand how other people feel when I start talking about Pokemon from generations they haven't played yet. I am baffled yet enthralled.
Actually if you look into pokemon lore and try to do some extrapolating using base stats and things like that, high level legendary pokemons are pretty close in power level to cell saga levels. You could even go to DB super levels if you take things like palkia or arceus into account. Though to be honest, pokemon power level are much less consistent than dragonball (yes... less consistent than dragonball is possible xD). And ultimately fictionnal battle aren't won by whoever is the strongest, but whoever make the most interesting story if they win. And since yamcha losing is funny... well let's say I wouldn't bet on him even if he was pitted against a dunsparce xD (but yes I can grant you that yamcha is objectively tougher than a dunsparce =p)
Just the concept of 11 year old being a trainer of adult men in little capsule things. Idk I never watched dragon ball just the image of red telling an adult man how to fight is absolutely hilarious.
Yeah, I’ve never seen dbz, I only watched the whole video to know it’s like when I talk pokémon in front of my wife who hasn’t played. We sound insane.
I’m one of the few. I had a brain fart and thought I misheard Yamask, which isn’t even available until Gen 5. So I was veeeeery confused for a second. 😂
I know of Dragonball but I’ve never actually watched it. Clicking on the video I was just like “wow, that must be a really obscure Pokemon, I’ve never heard of it.... oh wait that’s a person” 😅
I watched the Z Kai run on Nicktoons when I was a kid, but beyond that I know pretty much jack all about Dragon Ball, and even my memory of those was pretty fuzzy. The video was still surprisingly entertaining despite me having no idea who a solid 85% of the fighters were.
The fucking boring normies have started replying. Saddens me to see people that do not know the magnificent culture of anime! Saddens me even more to see people that follow Pokémon yet they don’t even know that itself is in fact anime..... 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔
I was dozing off when I started to hear you talk about dbz and I had a brief moment of "am I dreaming"....and now I'm thoroughly awake and also confused
I know this whole episode is one big joke etc. But this just confirms what I’ve thought for a while now that a DBZ / DBS RPG like this would totally work.
There are, actually, games that are sorta close to this, and I believe it's called "Goku's Legacy" or something like that. Or "Legacy of Goku," that sounds closer. In any case, they were GBA games. I don't really remember much from them because I didn't get far in them personally, but yeah, I remember they had attacks you could change out and stuff. There's a couple of them, too.
Conversation I had at work while introducing a friend to this channel: Me: "in this video, you'll really hear how Canadian this guy is." Greg: "Eh?" Me: "The opposite, actually." (Long pause) Greg: "Zed?" Me: "Yes."
Mr. Perfect Cell: Oh and Yamcha! What a surprise, how's it going man? Yamcha: Uh good, I brought hand towels and water bottles. Mr. Perfect Cell: And like that you have already contributed more than Vegeta.
I’ve been listening to these challenge videos (they’re long and relaxing to listen to) while drawing this art commission and I just turned my head to see how the progress of the challenge has been doing 7 minutes into the video, I only now noice wtf has been going on
@@IronMaiden1164 all fun and games until . you battle the Saibaiman twins in Mossdeep City and their only moves are duplicate, latch, hyper beam and selfdestruct . thats a super effective skill set against any Yamcha
Out of all pokemon you choose pikachu...HE WASN'T EVEN ON THIS LIST YAMCHA WAS ON THE LIST! Why was i on it? HALF-TIME ENTERTAINMENT! frankly I'm happy to be included.
This video threw me through a loop. Just, wow. I didn't expect to just sit down and watch the whole thing, but I was hooked. I'd love more random hack challenges like this in the future, because it's actually really refreshing not knowing everything about whatever game you're playing.
Unfortunately, metronome only has a pp of 10, so it's physically impossible to beat the elite four without running out of pp, unless if you use a metronome only team of multiple Pokemon
@@cytas1976 I mean, the game could be modded in some way so that the pokemon being used can physically only know Metronome. Maybe have all four slots with the move, maybe with the PP maxed? When the idea hit me, I didn't really consider that as part of the challenge. I figured it'd be a fun challenge for, I dunno, gen two? Beat up red by sheer luck?
@@wakeupclumsyold Great, do that! Problem solved. Metronome only, with no chance of the PP running out, and therefore, no risk of accidentally using struggle.
YES. Both to this challenge and to the Let's Play returning. Easily one of my favorite Let's Plays you've done and am very excited to see them both. Today has been kinda shit for me, so seeing this notification allows me to be happy that tomorrow is going to bring some more amazing content and allows me to throw the sadness of today aside for joy in the future. Hope you and everybody in the comment section have a fantastic day.
I know nothing about Dragon Ball Z and this vid hasn’t even aired yet but I know this’ll be a doozy Edit: I was right. I like how everyone assumed it would just be Yanma lol
Will Orr A very obscure show that was completely overlooked when it debuted in the early 90s. It’s a miracle that it was able to stay on air, don’t know how the madmen did it
Mah-Dry-Bread: My rival will pick Vegeta, I figured Yamaha is gonna want some revenge on him. Vegeta: I only fought Kakarot, Nappa fought everyone else, except for that one guy that got killed by a ... Hahaha
