I got so many street passes when I sent it to Nintendo to get my 3ds repaired 💀

i actually got *45 STREETPASSES* 2 months ago, while i was hunting down a 3DS or DSi stylus. incredible.

Once as a joke me and about 45 kids in our school took our own 3Ds (idk the plural form) to school and got streetpasses from our principal. He had one and everyone knew it so over a weeks time we all got it. He thought it was a personal attack on him after recognizing the names, it was so funny. Edit: stop arguing about the plural form of ds in the replies

I got one when I brought my 3DS to my local theater! This user only had Mario Kart 7 as far as I can tell, and they didn’t appear in the plaza, so I assume they didn’t enable StreetPass for the plaza.

I got 2 street passes at the movie and 4 at Nintendo world, it was a nice feeling

I did the exact same thing on the first day of the movie being launched, I didn't even get a single new streetpass. You are lucky to get yours!

I remember some 9 years ago, I went on a roadtrip and somehow got a few streetpasses. I dunno, it's a nice memory for me now. It's a shame Nintendo doesn't do things like this anymore, and has essentially had its soul sucked out lol

I actually took my ds to the Mario movie and so did my friend. We streetpassed each other, but nobody else.

I was shocked when I managed to get 4 streetpasses at my college I am staying at, let alone that 4 of them were for Yo-Kai Watch 1, which I was/still am trying to 100% complete at the moment.

I miss my 3ds everyday. I lost it at SIUE at my mom's masters graduation. Well my brother lost it

I got streetpass at a local theatre!!! It was really cool. Though I’ve gotten a couple random streetpasses this year so far and it makes me so happy!😄

Great video. Something about the StreetPass is just so wholesome. I remember when I got a lot of street passes when I was younger and how excited i got when I opend the Mii plaza.

I took my 2ds to the Mario movie and I got 2 people in my mii plaza, 1 for Mario 3D land, and 1 for Rusty‘s real deal baseball of all games.

I literally did the same thing day one of the opening, in a town of 95,230 mind you, but I had no luck whatsoever. To be fair I went to the 4:30 showing on a Wednesday, and there weren't that many people there. I probably would've had better luck during the weekend, but I hate being in crowds so that's why I went day one. Quietest opening day ever. Not that many Nintendo players in my town either. Last year was my 12th grade year, and all the kids in my high school were either jocks, simps who only care about slang and sex jokes, or bookworms. If this were 10 years ago I would've gotten like 50 tags.

I got one. Was down in Florida to watch the movie. Apparently their favorite game was Fire Emblem.

I brought my 3ds so I could play smb at the credits, but didn’t get a streetpass

fun story: there was a Home Depot up north in Wisconsin in the middle of nowhere, my family and I would go there since we had a lakehouse nearby. this was around the time where i'd bring my 3DS everywhere I went so i'd sometimes get streetpasses. what i wasnt expecting was that this specific Home Depot would give me up to 50-100 streetpasses each time id go to it with family. i was extremely shocked since the entire store was barron but it got even weirder from there. the streetpasses would come from all around the world, Georgia, Maine, Kansas, hell even Japan it was crazy. the strangest thing tho would be me randomly getting a streetpass from my sibling, the issue is that they lost their 3DS on a trip to Florida years before and i was only getting their streetpass as this Home Depot (we never found the 3DS either so it was never with us). we sold the lakehouse though back in 2019 and with it being a 3 hour drive idk if ill ever be able to go back to that Home Depot to check if i'd even get streetpasses anymore. does anyone know if this happens in other places too, ive always wondered what this is about.

Did the same thing, I saw the movie twice and didn't get a single streetpass, I guess it's especially hard to Streetpass when even the kids around you call it an "old-school nintendo"

Quite a nostalgic video. In 2014 I received my 3ds at the age of 6… I had moved countries and would walk around lot with my older sister and would be flooded with streetpassess , good times.

bro litterally i brought my 3ds to the locker room for this basketball game i was playing in and i got 5 streetpasses and then a month later i got 47 more from walking outside, maybe i passed someones house who has a lot of streetpasses

Streetpass was one of my favorite features of the 3DS. I dunno what it is about it but it was just so cool to get home and check out all the other Nintendo fans I passed by on my trip out into the world. I still have so much streetpass data in my 3DS that I periodically go through and get all nostalgic over. Especially all the animal crossing houses I collected. We’ll never get to fill that data again. It’s just so sad to see it gone and seems very unlikely that anything like this will return in the future.

I tried this at my cinema and i didn't get a street pass ):

Was on launch day with my 3DS in a the biggest theatre a city of 1M+ : No StreetPass, just a bunch of 40y olds disguised as Mario.

I went to the new and old Mario movies at cinema with seven friends each time and four of us brought our 3DS. I currently have three 3DSes and a DS lite. Love the 3DS

I have been getting streetpasses everyday for the past 3 days and I got one at the mario movie too! I'm super excited

I took my 3DS to the same movie on the same day. There was an attendant in one of the front rows who came literally dressed as Wario and if there was anyone who would be caught with a 3DS it was that guy, but he WASN'T. I was silently fuming when LaiyenZ got the green light, but then I realized who he passed and I was like 😈 ...until the video ended unremarkably and then I just felt bad for him.

I went first day at night and got 0 😭 I don’t know how I got 0 when there was a bunch of Mario fans with there hats

I actually brought my 3DS to the Mario Movie in theaters and did get 1 streetpass! "Dsc" is their mii name and I somehow steetpassed them twice.

i also had my 3ds at the Mario movie. i was playing partners in time going down the thwomp Volcano while the ads were playing only thing is i live in Canada soooooooo yeah you ain't getting my StreetPass any time soon. also i was the only one at the theater with a 3ds as i did not get any street pass

i actually got 2 streetpasses on the premier in tel aviv! kinda sad how rare they are and how you have to actually seek them out now...

I got plenty of streetpass while I was watching the Mario Movie and while I was at Super Nintendo World which I did during the same day

I actually got like 6 street passes in 2 days at super nintendo world hollywood

I'm still having my O3DS and N3DS with streetpass enabled all the day in case you come to Spain someday xD. Also, I'm near to an airport all the time, so maybe I'll be kinda lucky if someone else has the 3ds with the streetpass enabled too
