Petition for Kayak to run a clothing store in with Stanley Humphrey, with ONLY hot dog costumes for sale. Stanley could profit off of this BRILLIANT idea!
It would have been cool for The Sims team to add in separate bank accounts for individual family members in this pack. That way teens could have their own allowance/build up their personal funds from Trendi, part-time jobs etc to either save for uni or to use their own money on hanging out with friends, getting boba/snacks, new outfits etc
that is a feature in the Sims National Bank banking mod! and it works really well! i think it could incorporate into this gameplay really well when the pack releases! i use it for when i gie my teens parttime jobs
Another idea for a Stanley video: can you become rich just by asking for autographs? You can appraise and reappraise them, and they can be worth up to thousands and tens of thousands (especially if the celebrity is dead ☠️)
Stanley should have a legacy challenge where each generation has to live off of one of stanley's get rich schemes. Example, gen 1 - dumpster diving Gen 2 - kniting. And so on...
I think Plumbella mentioned in her video that she has set a price for one of her outfits to 9999999… and someone has bought it. I think you can easily make a lot of money with this feature as apparently it’s possible to set crazy high prices
@@kittywenham6998 I’ve always wondered about that on poshmark or depop. You have people selling a 5 year old, worn fast fashion piece for nearly full retail price, lol. Who buys that?
@@kittywenham6998 Hilarious. I saw someone on DePop selling a worn Abercrombie ‘vintage’ top that even had a hole in the bottom for 200$; someone purchased it
Someone (by someone I mean me) should make a legacy challenge with Stanley, as the starting sim, or a townie, and have to complete a scheme each generation, and gen 9 only eats all hotdogs for every meal, and their kid gen 10 only eats veggie dogs, and they’re vegetarian or vegan.
I hate that you can't see the Trendi outfits until AFTER you buy them. It's so weird, because there's clearly space on the side to show the outfit. The description is helpful, but I hope they change that.
I'm so confused as to why the thrift store/depop functions infinitely more like a stylist career than the actual stylist career does 😂 You don't buy whole pre-styled outfits on a resale app, you can buy multiple pieces from someone but they don't design an outfit and sell it lmao
That idea seems soo realistic to me, especially for teens and young people. Irl there are many online platforms where people sell their old clothes and they definitely make some money!
My cousin makes good money on Depop by thrifting and having the clothes mended, cleaned nicely, she'll do some nice pictures, and list them. She also has access to thrift shops with very big name brands, she's in a major Texas city.
I also like that it's not SUPER lucrative, like a fully sustainable career choice, but some way a teen could casually make a little money if they didn't want or have time for a part time job
Online platforms like Depop, whom this is an ad for? In all seriousness, it is actually a really fucked up thing to do. It makes thrifting more expensive for people who actually need it. It's essentially gentrifying fashion.
Hear me out. Don’t trash it right away. Can Stanley get rich quick... from trash plant farming?! And by that I mean growing trashplants and throwing the trash fruit in the money generating trashcan aka The NanoCan. Here are the rules for my suggested challenge: - Stanley may grow as many trashplants as he wants. - Stanley may buy as many NanoCans as he wants but he must start with only one and buy more with trash generated money. - Stanley may recruit as many housemates as the game allow to increase the value of each peace of trash thrown away. (Pets included) - Stanley may throw other trash he makes or finds in the can as well (such as plates and fish). - Stanley may grow other stuff but only to feed himself and other sim, not to sell. Okay now you can trash it. get it? Yes, I am very, very ashamed.
I don’t think LilSimsie is going to see this post but if someone else decides to try out this challenge, please write and tell me how it went. I am so curious! 😄
About the "trifth and tea shop" thing: it would be soooo much better if they had added (to base game) the option of double comunity lots, and then the 2 new lot types to the pack.
@@NitroIndigo I don't know nothing about TS3, sorry. But what I meant was be able to have like library and cafe, bar and gym, all in one lot and all functional.
@@gisela_oliveira Basically, starting with Bridgeport in Late Night, most Sims 3 towns have multi-purpose shell buildings. For example, the school and stadium are on the same lot in Appleloosa Plains from Pets.
@@NitroIndigo Maybe they didn't go with that option because of the glitches TS3 experienced with them? Like in Appaloosa Plains the after-school events and graduation weren't able to be attended because of the combination for instance
I reaaaally hope that the new thrifting/trendy fashion thing doesn't mess with our played Sims' current outfits. That would make the game nearly unplayable for me.
There will likely be labels applied to them. It looked like the stores could have pretty much just a random assortment of stuff and it can be filtered by the type. I think the Sims can also like/dislike the fashion types. Not sure how it impacts other mechanics but I don't have all of the packs.
@@AriaLouisa It makes sims autonomously wear your outfits. You have to constantly change them back if you have a famous sim with the trendsetter perk. I had this issue with my sim's husband while they were in the same household that I was actively playing.
I read a comment earlier that apparently somebody tried listing a look for 9999 simoleons and it sold eventually. I was hoping I'd see you do that right off the bat lmao
Yeah, no idea why most simmers always try only modest upmarks. Are they afraid to exploit the system? Did they get told by EA not to break the system on stream? Sims 4 is not so intelligent to recognize good outfits, just look at what townies wear. Create the cheapest outfit you can, ask for several thousand simoleons and when the dice fall right it sells. It probably only depends on your number of followers and whats currentls trendy. I can't imagine the system being any smarter than that.
I don't know if I'll be able to handle going back and forth to sell outfits 😭😂 The loading screen is gonna be a torture. I hope you can sell them anytime as long as there's a buyer 😀
I really hope that when the pack comes out for real and people play with multiple packs, there will be clothes from multiple packs available @ the thrift shop + properly categorized, and not just base game/HSY
It probably will. It's just she's only using base game and this pack right now so we only see those items. Whereas it'll most likely show items from other packs as well.
I’m real interested in this pack already. I just wish the bubble tea and the thrift store were actually able to be separated. I just feels weird for them to be stuck together
Kayla, maybe you should make a wheel spin let’s play with Harper Vanderbilt’s daughter? You could age her up and move her and her brother to copperdale. I think it would be nice to continue the wheel spin disaster with her kids, another gen of an quite iconic family on that channel :)
I'm not a fan of the Depop collaboration and the reselling gameplay. Most Depop sellers buy cheap clothing from thrift stores and sell them at insanely high prices, preying on poorer people who can't afford to shop anywhere else. With the uprising of these resellers, thrift stores are raising prices and screwing poor people over. People depend on thrift stores for furniture, household supplies, clothing, etc to make ends meet. It's upsetting that I rarely see anyone talking about this.
I missed your comment and made my own above saying almost the same thing! It's really awful for so many reasons and I hate that the sims is perpetuating this culture because it's a ~quirky gen z~ thing
I'm kind of hoping that Simsie has a series where she tries to survive on every community lot type. lol Restaurants would be funny to me because of all the zany stuff that happens in restaurants like servers throwing dirty dish piles around and leaving them on tables. lol
it would be SO MUCH BETTER if they let us have a lot that is both house and store, imagine being able to live on the second floor of the thrift/boba store without mod
What could’ve also been a great thing added to this pack is sewing, so you could sew stuff like you knit, or “thrift flip”, and change an item that you’ve bought into something else in the catalogue
I find it very interesting how the new entrepreneur skill is saying something about doing well in your side hussles and/or in your freelance career! I would love to have some kind of skill that made the freelance career give me more perks
Recently I've noticed that when my sims use the observatory they get printouts that cost like 100 to 200 simoleons. I wonder if you could get rich quick with that!
Makes me sad they added this mechanic in some ways. Thrifting + Reselling culture has caused a lot of problems in real life - the biggest one being that low income people can now no longer afford thrift stores anymore. I wouldn't have had clothes without thrift stores as a child and the prices now would have been impossible. Also thrift clothes that don't get bought by resellers (or by poorer people who can't afford them anymore) get shipped off to landfills that poison "poorer" countries (an example being "dead white man's clothes"). This trend also forces some low income shoppers to purchase fast-fashion - which has a pile of issues by itself. I think it's fun in the realm of fantasy but it's a culture that I wish wasn't supported and died out. For the sake of poorer communities and the environment.
fully agree, I was excited for them adding thrifting into the game and thought it might be like the dumpster diving exclusive items but just turning it into depop influencer price jacking is so gross
I was looking for a comment like this! So yes! It's terrible how us poorer folk were made ridicule in younger years due to our secondhand clothes and now everyone's all over it. The overemphasis of fast fast fast has created such waste and flooded secondhand stores with never-worn Shein and such after hauls. I don't know. Just, I agree with you, and it's sad to see resellers and the insidious culture it creates becoming trendy. Cute enough in the game, harmful irl.
Honestly I feel like Stanley was at a disadvantage from the start, he was working his buns off for nothing lol. That being said I would have loved to see Agnus in the e-girl look, and have to know would she have her signature purse still for slapping people lol
I’ve had a hard day today especially tonight but watching your video just helps so much you put a smile on my face and I just love your content so much thank you so much for everything you have done for me 🥰
It's interesting how "well" Trendi works when compared to *Plopsy...* which is kind of a _flopsy..._ lol I hope they update Plopsy to work as well as Trendi soon if they got the hang of Trendi.
Year latter of hindsight and is the complete opposite. Trendi you can put any price, sims will buy it without needing to have the money. Listings expire fast. only works for clothes. You can't even see the outfit you buy. Plopsy instead gives its own price, always for profit and had multiplier for item qualities (masterworks = big profit) and works with a lot of craftables. You can also see what you are buying. Listing last a fairly long amount of time.
You should make a museum dedicated to Stanley. Hot dog shaped, of course. And you put a sim with high painting skill in the household with Stanley, recreate all his most iconic moments and have them paint him, and hang those paintings by his various objects of schemery. Obviously have an entire room dedicated just to his various deaths. If you could get urns for him, all the better.
headcanon that Agnes crumplebottom used to be a troublemaking punk teen but was forced into the rich, country lifestyle. that’s why she’s so bitter and THATS why she wanted that E-girl outfit so bad
Rabbitt 0 seconds ago I really want them to implement sims that have disabilities because these updates are amazing, but not everyone is able bodied and it's wrong to exclude those with disabilities, especially when disability is already so forgotten and discarded. I share this because I thought lilsimsie could use her platform for awareness possibly.
Seeing Kayla talking about how you can work as a home designer and now selling outfits, makes me think that it would be really fun if they made a pack around sim makeovers (i know we already have the spa, but something like a beauty parlor or something like that, and townies would come to you for a new hairstile/makeover, idk 😂
I just watched plumbellas review and as she mentioned the thrifting and my first thought was “oh I can’t wait for Stanley to try that”. It was like my phone read my mind and literally just popped up with the notification.
oh my god i can't wait to try creating looks and selling them, it must be a lot of fun. imagine the Sims wearing clothes that we created, it makes me extremely excited, really. can't wait :p
When the game comes fully you should replay this challenge. It might be because of how you played it the developers might change how the game play works.
It's kinda a strange addition to a high school pack but... I'm glad we are getting it. I can see how this will encourage me to try new outfits with my Sims.
a great idea for someone who actually wants to get a lot of money with this is doing a bunch of outfits, check the trends and put them for selling when they are trending. using them as well is good
