They can be. Many have a tendency to overeat and STILL beg for more. Beware that those cute CHONKS can have a decreased life expectancy. I don't allow hoarding, and went to zero sugar treats. (Cheerios are ALMOST zero sugar) Mung bean sprouts and green veggies: no sugar. They go insane for the slightly bitter mung bean sprouts. Why? Who knows? But they are super healthy.
I do this every time I reach into a giant rat pile in the hammock. I used to be able to tell them all apart. Now, it's getting harder. They are all putting on a little bit of weight. LOL
My three rats would be easy if I was reaching into a nest without seeing them: Cricket would bite me, Jasper would lick me, and Fennec would check for treats and then ignore me. I don't really know if I want to try, though...
@@claireshamgochian9509 Nooo! Do you mean "nip" or "bite"? My rats have never even nipped me, even if I accidentally startle them. Now, my gerbils can draw BLOOD with painful bites if I forget to wash my hands after playing with my rats. Really really hurts. My rats do sometimes try to gently grasp (with teeth) my babyfood covered finger and run away with it. LOL. They figure it out, and stop and just lick it. So cute.

My four would be easy. Marshmello would bite me. Olive would climb up my arm. Patches would check for treats then climb up my arm. Half-Tail would run.
Aww... they are so so cute!!!! I have always wanted a rat, they are so cute and adorable!!! But i guess i can't complain cause a got a adorable little fluff ball that's named hershy, he's a hamster. Oh btw i came here from victoria reachel, love her. New subscriber here! Lol

I loved this video! I asked my bf to do this with me right after I finished watching lol I have 3 rats and their fur, weight and personality are all so different that it was too easy! my boys were bruxing the whole time too lol

I could totally get mine right!! I only have two, but Birch, my white hamster with a black stripe along her spine, is bigger and more soft. Alex, a gray hamster, is smaller and less soft, and more independent and nippy.
I usually only watch your rat videos but your mice are so adorable awwwh!! Vixen is beautiful 😍 I think with my pets i'd do pretty well but i've got it kinda easy, one of my rats feels significantly heavier than the other and it's the same with my two cats. My bunnies are also different sizes and my guinea pigs have different fur textures. But i bet it's a lot harder than it looks haha
Telling my rats apart would be too easy. Shiro is still a baby so he’s quite small, Eggo has them big boy dumbo ears and he’s built like a tank, and Merlin is really wriggly so he’d be the one trying to run off
I had a female mouse I could never mistake. She was sleek and beautiful and half again as large as any other mouse I ever had. She didn't like other mouse's babies, would sneak up on them like a tiny little tiger and slap her tail in annoyance. I'd know what was going on without even turning my head.
I am sure I can 100% on my three rats: Jasper has rough fur, Fennec is a chubby boy with very soft fur, and Cricket is Jasper's size with silky fur. I can usually always guess who's drinking or squeaking at night, as well.

All my pets are really easy. I have two rats, and one is abnormally small and the other is abnormally big, two rabbits which are slightly different in size, two ferrets which are the same as the rats in terms of relative size, and three dogs with very different features and sizes.

Haha I could never. The only one I could guess is my sugar glider who would crawl into my shirt. Heck I can’t even tell who they each are not blindfolded:)

I’m so jealous of your rats! I have forever wanted to adopt 2-3 but my parents are against it :/ I hopefully will be able to have the funds and housing to adopt some in the future! On the bright side I have plenty of time to research and figure it out.

Hey just a suggestion but could you one time make a how to deal with loss of a mouse, my mouse died yesterday and I didn’t even get it have him a year. He was so close though
I have five cats and I'm quite certain I can tell all of them apart if I pet them with my eyes closed-- either from the feel of their fur, or if they say something XD They all sound VERY different.
I did this with my gerbils (I have 7) and I got all of them right. It kinda helps that 2 are small babies, 1 is fat and 1 is underweight (he was sick recently but is healthy now and is getting back his appetite😊)
I'd love to do this but I only have 2 rats and one is a standard coat and the other is a rex so it would be pretty easy to tell. Plus the standard coat weighs at least 80 grams more than the rex and is over 2 inches longer, sigh. 😔
I have 2 guinea pigs, a hamster, a dog and a cat and I think I'd succeed guessing all of them. 🤔🤔 piggies would be the hardest but they both have different type of fur but I'm confident I'd know which is which although the first month of having them I took the wrong piggy to the vet to get neutered😅
I have 2 dogs, 2 chinchillas, and a hamster. And if I did this with my chinchillas (even though there’s only two😂) I think I could do it. One is much ~rounder~ and sweeter. And the other is less ~round~ and not too nice haha
hey emi i was browsing on amazon and i found an “cat cage” for eighty dollars and it’s HUGE! i checked the rat cage calculator and it says 12 rats could live in it! it’s cheaper than any critter nation and can house just as much!
This would be easy with my mice and rats (for me). One of my girl rats, an agouti Variberk with a headspot, is super fat and short haired, and the other, a mismarked Black Eyed White, is average with a wispy coat. Two of my boys are nearly identical to look at (when they were younger, one was much smaller than the other, but now they're both huge muscle-boys), but I can tell the difference by the sound of their breathing, because one has lung scarring which makes him a little noisy. Their fur is super super thick and soft, almost greasy. My third boy is a black Berkshire, like the other two, which makes all three hard for most people to tell apart, but his fur is a little shorter and smoother and he's not quite as big. He also has very distinctive little eyes and ears. My three mice are all easy to tell apart, because two are manx, both chocolate selfs, and one of the manx is a big chunky long coated girl, and the other is short haired and the smallest mouse I've ever had. The tailed girl, a chocolate Berkshire (the mouse kind, with a head spot) is also short coated, and she hates being held, so she moves around a lot in your hands.
