he did buffer he was just in blockstun so you couldnt see it. Pretty sure hes playing on pad so you wont hear him buffering it, d pads are usually pretty quiet.
It will be more fair once people learn how to play against him, but at the same time, JP players will also get better at using his tools and setups so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As a JP main, the fact is he only has about 2 built-in outs when you're in his face. He's a stiff fighter with a lot of slow movements. Walk his a** to the corner to create looming pressure to avoid burnout from the zoning. *Listen* to the queues of his shadows to determine which one is coming out. If he's about 30% left on Drive Rush meter with a level 2, you're looking at getting fully comboed for just shy of 3800; keeping math in mind will help you figure out how much life is left. Lastly, stay away from Full Screen engagement at all costs; the slower frames benefit from that and give him options to escape and "stay safe".
Im so fortunate i play luke because is kit so good against jp . If i ever lost to one its from them just having a better grasp on fundamentals and punishing all jump ins and checking all my drive rushes but i never get zoned out by jps
JP is another Cetrion type of zoner. He can fight but he's able to make the person he's fighting slam his stick on the floor from gettin beat by zoning & barely fighting
The main thing about JP is that he's INSANELY strong provided one specific attribute...you HAVE to be able to play the keepaway zoning game immaculately to really harness his true power while a lot of other characters take their power from rushdown. This is what balances JP slightly for newer players if your not entirely dedicated to making sure you know the keep away game...once you master the keep away game its a bit overpowered but always remember SF6 has a LOT of tools for getting in so your never truly safe!
@@shingrandfather He really isn't though. He has losing matchups to basically every top 5 character except Guile and Dee Jay. Cammy, Ken, Juri, and Luke are all very good against JP.
I ALWAYS THOUGHT MANON'S MEDAL WAS A ROOSTER HEAD OR JUST SOME WEIRD SYMBOL WITH NO MEANING.. I DIDNT REALIZE IT WAS SOMEONE THROWING ANOTHER OPPONENT!..
People just hate getting rekt by his pierce combos and dealing with his reversal. He ain't even top tier, literally every tier list you'll see puts him a level below that. And I definitely agree with that.
@@neves2493 I haven't played the game for about 5 months so you're asking the wrong person tbh. At that time, it was pretty much ken, juri, guile, deejay, Cammy, and then maybe JP or Dhalsim. I might have left someone out, it's been a while, so don't take this as gospel.
tbh, I genuinely think JP is balanced, due to his very large moveset being specific for many situations, while still being able to combo via other specific circumstances, every type of counter or by reaction DI counter, and his tough to master style rather than something like Ken or Luke who can be mastered like him, but with much more generalized tools like DP's and Fireballs... Not saying they're easier, just has a much more better time learning the basics and building upon their toolset
As a JP player can confirm, JP is full of bullshit, but not at all broken or cheap. I don't think any character in SF6 is borderline broken or cheap. Moreso just infuriating and annoying *looking at you Ken Masters*
Quit the downplay this character isnt top 5 because the top 5 is strong if they made nerfs im sure hed sneak his way into him. The fact everything you do puts your opponent back to fullscreen and your aa is stupid simple unless someone crosses up.
Trying to not be biased cause of my personal experiences against JP. He definitely seems broken as it's hard for virtually every character to deal with him once he gets set up but I'll extend an olive branch. The times I do get in as Jamie JP players literally have no idea what to do. Ifeel like JP either does really good or really bad he gets setup he wins most the time he gets rushed before that he gets blown up since he has no invincible DP. It's all good though once my actual main comes out (Rashid) imma bully tf out of JP players for all the pain they caused me.
@@Ekim2F94 JP is very good when at far range or mid range but up close he struggles. Doesn't help that Jamie is a tricky matchup for him too, even if it leans a bit more onto JP's favor
Bruh the song playing in the background when you're fighting manon it's bothering me sooo much because as soon as I heard it I knew it but can't remember what game it's from it's sonic right?
@crimsonraiza3633 lies she braindead easy..The real answer is she wasn't cheap enough and that says alot because she is broken. But jp is broken on every level
I feel like JP is not really broken. Give people time to learn how to deal with a lot of his stuff. Personally I feel this game is in a decent state and I don't feel like anyone needs nerfs or buffs as of now. Each character is like a puzzle. Everyone has a solution that could either be tricky or simple to solve. JP will be a challenge I feel like will be the most intense to overcome and that is something I am ok with. Excellent video 💛❤🐑
I been saying hes broken since launch people are like " youre just bad" lol doesnt take rocket science to see how lame his combos and easy to use and then a full screen lvl 3..... he doesnt need half the dumb shit in his kit.
Not broken. No pro in the US or Japan have him in the top tier. JP feels broken to Gold and lower. Luke, Deejay, Honda, Guile, Ken, Cammy, and Marissa are all regarded as being stronger than JP.
I was just thinking today if JP is broken then why no one is winning a tournament with it. Go for it Punk Prove it if JP is Broken which I don't agree.
