I figured that out without the need of a comment! But then I’m from the countryside and could tell from looking out the window you were driving along what I assumed was a farm road to a main road. Can’t blame the townies for being clueless to that kind of thing. They only know concrete and pavements.

Not wearing a seatbelt on private land is ok in law but some of the safety videos I have seen show what happens when an air bag goes off, they can make a mess of you if you are not held in place correctly with a seatbelt, the car doesn't know it's on a private road, there is a big difference between oops that was a bit loud and oh shiiit I need an ambulance, look after yourself.

I was a skoda fan but the number of problems with the superb 3 is too high. skoda service remembers my car very well - the last repair was £ 8,000

@@MrSkoda105s quite a lot. At 28k miles gear selector error, then water pump damaged - coolant began to boil. Then, at 50k km, the whole DSG gearbox - I lost all gears - only gear 1 was left and the repair cost was £ 8,000. in addition, a whole bunch of sensors, or recent problems with heating or spare keys not working. Despite everything, despite the fact that the car is from 2016, thanks to Skoda-all-in, I still have guarantees and Skoda pays for all repairs. and the current mileage of the car is below 60k miles. The car is about to go on sale and I am buying a Mazda 6 2.5.

@@-xYz--nk1gm fortunately it was all on warranty. Not nice to have such problems with such a new car. My Octavia RS from 2010 with 286.000 km on the clock now has its first serious repair. The the crankcase seal between the engine and the gearbox is leaking quite a lot now. So next week it’s going for a repair. Since it’s the first big repair I’ve decided to give the RS a chance. Sorry that you’ve had these problems. I like Škoda (Superb) over Mazda. It wish you many happy miles without problems with your new Mazda. Overall Mazdas don’t have many problems and think the issues with the extreme rust are over these days. Take care.

It wasn’t thread, there was flat sides on the thread specifically for holding it in the vice. That’s the official instructions from Audi.

Could be worse - could have done it then realised he had no 3rd/4th gear!
