Albo Adansonii used to be my favorite plant, until I got multiples of them and they all turned white over time for me. It got to a point where I fell out of love with it. I settled for mint adansonii's, and hasn't given me trouble.

About 1.5 years ago, these single leaf cuttings were $1,000+ in Korea. 😂 Now you can find them for $50. I was given a mint Asansonii (single leaf) as a gift for purchasing another plant.

Hmm, thats interesting. I had one that reverted to fully white too and after two fully white leaves, she started to push them out fully white and over ~1-2 months they got kind of mint-ish (so there was definitely some chlorophyll in there) and thrived like that.

I once have a problem like that with my adansonii albo..the solution I came up with for that is by giving it more natural sunlight it may start white or yellow but if you give it more sunlight the leaves will develop more green eventually. It's just base on my experience but maybe you can try to...by the way I love all your plants especially the P. Glorious, good luck with the adansonii

Many plant enthusiasts I know who own Monstera Adansonii Var have their plants turned all white. Mine has turned white and at one point, I propagated them into a few different pots. One of the pots turned out to have its variegation come back with 70% green and 30% white. But then it couldn’t retain in the long run and it has now turn back to all green. It was one of my most pricey plants when I bought it about a year ago and thus I am not giving up on them just yet😅. I am trying all that I could to bring it back😊. By the way, I am writing this from Malaysia.

I bought my variegated Adansonii back in 2020 when it cost 1500€ for a 4 leaf plant. Guess what happened when I propagated it after it turned white after only 8 leafs. 6/8 propagations came out completely white from the beginning... And the 2 that didn't I was able to propagate a dozen times and I still own a piece of them today with the most beautiful variegation.

@@sydneyplantguy yeah and I have learned quite a bit. As soon as the plant goes from freckled variegation to halfmoon, it's pretty much 50/50 whether the newest leaf will come out completely white or completely green. Same with new shoots. When the variegation in the stem is pretty much 50/50 like in your old adansonii, and the new growth point is in the white part, you can expect that it is going to come out completely white from the beginning.

This same thing is happening to me with my variegated Alocasia. I bought 2 large beautiful established plants with mottled leaves, and when I repotted them and collected some corms to grow and sell, 80% of the corms are growing fully white leaves. It's making me so mad 🤣

I've been growing one from a single node cutting since August and I have no clue what affects its growth. Bought as a bit of a gamble for 10 euros, it started with an all green leaf. It is since pushing out its 3rd variegated leaf that comes out all cream and slowly turns more green starting at the veins. I suspect it to be the archipelago variety, but will need to confirm as it grows, so far it seems to have excellent genetics, living on room temperature and humidity between 50 and 70%. A much slower grower than the regular green one, but I would recommend the archipelago, if that's what mine is :)

Jan...😍 I really love watching this video because it becomes my first experience to know an experiment like this.💖😊. By watching your video I can get your experience and your advice!.. I think, both of these Monstera Adansonii are beautiful.. The white one is unique!.. and the variegata one is pretty!.. Hopefully, the white one can grow its new white leaves and become bigger. And the variegata one can be mature when you grow it on the moss pole. I appreciate it!.😊.I look forward to watching your videos about your new experiments! (from small plants)👍.. At home I'm facing a curiousity. The leaf color of my Anthurium Faustino Giant is different. Of the 16 seedlings ( which are still cute and tiny ) that are emerging from the ground, there are 5 ones that appear white ( the stems and the leaves are white like the color of your white Monstera Adansonii ). I already have one with a mature size (green Anthurium) so I'm curious now...Could it be that the white color of the stems and the leaves since they were very tiny is a sign that my Anthurium will become white?.. This is my first experience, so I'm so happy to know their growth later.. Jan...😊Thank you soo much for everything!.. I'm soo proud of you!.❤️.. Happy 100 K subscribers!!..👏👍😊..and I love you, Brad 😻👏 CONGRATULATIONS!!!!...👏🙌🎉💞❤️💐🌸🥰💚🤗😊🎉..

My next step after all the cuts died would be to de-pot, cut every root off and cut into nodes assuming there are a few nodes below the soil line. I put the nodes in moss in a prop bin. If no growth after that then I would call it quits. But there’s always hope… :-)
