yeah, i mean technically you could even make an argument for no infection seeing as in the movie if you turned you retained your sanity, it was just a powerup.
This is why I love PZ, no run can be the same with all the possible customization, you can have your most down basics zombie apocalypse, The Last Of Us style zombies, eldtrich horror monsters or even freaking vampires !
Wish more games were flexible like PZ. Half the appeal of zombie media is the sheer variety of infected and imagining how to deal with each scenario. So, why not have a game that can do it all? Speaking of, this past year I thought of one simple scenario in both Zomboid *_and_* movies I haven't seen yet but want to: "Can an obese person survive sprinters?" challenge, aka "Run Fatboy Run". It's literally only 2 settings in-game, obese+sprinters, but literally nobody's done it yet, and I can't do it bc I'd die.
If you do Sprinters right... it's very tense! I have a very old video of me trying out my first zombie behaviour tweaks a few years ago on my channel if you're curious enough about my vision of it; I've improved it since all those patches though.. I still think about opening a server or recording some more lol
Not gonna lie it didn't seem that scary watching it, although it's probably 10x worse playing. The zombie density seems low, and their sound and visual perception is also pretty bad for vampires.
This game can be great like that- you really can have an immersive playthrough if you can get past the artstyle/perspective (which I personally dont mind)
Maybe because you like the atmosphere and concept of the "The Thing". I absolutely love it. Even the newer one, and also the OG is really good too, but Carpenter's is a masterpiece.
As someone stated earlier, it's awesome someone with skill play. I got a moderate amount of time in and even with slow zombies, I die pretty much every time I get into combat. The combat system has never clicked with. Still love the game but I stick to stealth and run run away style. I live vicariously thought Limes hardcore runs.
highly recommend turning on target highlighting, makes it a LOT easier to engage in combat and get a good feel for what kind of range your weapons have
@Hakasedess I actually have it on. It's the problem with my mouse. I tend to forget where it is mid fight and suddenly I'm turning my back to a group. Lol. It's a skill issue. But, I am okay with that. I suck at fighting but still love the game.
@@banddkelley I would enable multi-hit if you haven't already and you can lower the zombie population and have it so the max grouping is like 2 or 3 with like 20 meters or something inbetween groups which helps spread out 'hordes' and make it more managable. I also have a skill issue but really like the various aspects of the game like survival/skills/crafting/etc so that combat isn't on my priority when I play. I play cryogenic winter and ridiculously rare loot mods to make a no or low zombie spawn run 'harder'.
U should make the zombie like the ones in (I am legend) where if one sees you they scream and rush you, also they hide from the sunlight. That would be cool
I’d say the biggest contribution to your run being a success is the sheer amount of luck you were granted in how long Electricity and Water lasted. I don’t think I’ve ever made it past a week or two days past a week before shit was out the window. It’s still cool to see rng just absolutely work out sometimes. And I mean in this situation it was perfect. I’d say after your first week if you lost those things. If you succeeded in your run it would’ve taken significantly longer/harder to progress. And I say that just purely from watching you go from your base to the warehouse; with the sheer amount of time spent just doing that. Honestly the whole run I was on the edge of my seat and loved it all. Chance really is a thriller.
I really like the supercut versions of your series, thanks much for the effort Lime. Really excited as well for the supercut version of the exanima series for strong wizard. Stay awesome Lime. 👍
quick tip when you have a vehicle thatll barely move with a trailer back up then go forward itll cause the trailer to get alittle momentum just enough for small bursts of speed. I do it all the time for vehicle transportation into a grassy areas as a little junk yard
That jump at 3:13:27 was epic mate. I've played this game for almost 10 years, never has it left my hard drive, I consider myself an average PZ player skill wise. However when I tried to play these settings with these mods... it did not end well for me. The "vampires" however had a field day munching on 5 of my characters, RIP; Bob, Ben, Bill, Betty and Blood Sack (yeah, I was getting frustrated at the end lol). You sir are a very skilled zombie/vampire hunter o7. Quick question, when you play with friends, do you use a dedicated server or P2P? The reason I ask is I have brought the game for 3 of my buddies (it was my turn to pick the game in our group) and I wanted to know which way was best. My very first game of PZ was almost 10 years ago and it was with a buddy that I knew who lived in the UK (I am in Australia). The lag was... noticeable but playable, so how does each go with lag? And if you run a P2P game, how do you go with sleeping and reading. Anyway great video as per usual. Thanks and have a great day.
This was fun to watch. I don't know whether you took Sunday Driver to make things interesting or because you hate yourself, but I never ever take that perk and I play on normal difficulty settings, not running vampire zombies in a near-cryogenic winter. >_
Sunny sleepin in the bar with the corpse makes me think of What if they can smell the difference between a corpse n livin, n sometimes sleepin with a corpse close by or "maskin" your base helps deter zombies
Project Zomboid + vampires sounds a lot like I am Legend the book, honestly. The base building and stuff already matches the Will Smith movie now that I think about it too (I haven't seen the other movie adaptations to compare).
I used to live way up north where this is a real thing, on the flipside, in the very short summer it also doesn't get dark for about a month. It's not consistenly dark the entire time BTW, in the winter most of that time the sun starts coming up and then goesback down, summer same thing, sun starst going down and comes back up
