Amiibo actually learn to use attacks depending on whether they kill with the attack or not. If he kills a lot with a certain attack or gets killed with a certain attack (while playing the amiibo character), then the amiibo will be like "Oh! That's a good attack! I'll use it more often!"

They start using that move if you teach him to do that obv so but a good thing could also punish them if they do that move to much Example if a DK amiibo does way to much fair you gotta punish him so that he will do that move when it's optimal and teach them other kill options

Spirits change the AI. You gotta apply Spirits first then teach, or don't use Spirits.

CrimsoniteSP spirits don’t change the ai that much. They just find different uses for the same move. This means the Amiibo more than likely read the down b as a down smash because Amiibo probably don’t recognize c stick inputs as anything other than smash attacks and tilts

Little Tip So next time your training for Thunder only does not go to waste, Give him the spirits first as spirits influence its behaviour and will make it use different moves than what you want if you only feed them at the very end

I agree with you, they should only get banned when the purposefully sd or disconnect their switch because they lost. Also they shouldn't lose any points from crashing for either their own or other people's bad internet.

@@bombs2848 i feel like it's because they don't see the difference between crashing and closing the game and it needs to be fixed and if they do that it would end like no one gets banned or lose points for crashing and who closes the game the first time they do nothing but the second time they start losing points and at the 3d they get banned and lise points

There was actually a fundamental flaw, in that when you give an amiibo spirits it changes its nature. Therefore hopcat should have given the amiibo the spirits at level 1, then done the thunder training

Not really tbh, they don't use Down B nearly as much as you think. They usually only use it off stage for edgeguards or when they need to end a stock with something like up throw thunder. And possibly for punishes

Cool video. Here is some own ideas: Amiibo Ganondorf only using smash atacks and power him up with 'stronger smash attack' or 'stronger sword attack' - Amiibo Little Mac only smash attacks and 'stronger fist attack' or 'stronger smash attack'. That would be as fun as this video, even more.

Hey hopcat, I think the reason he only down smashes is because the non set GameCube c stick control is smash attack so I think it just acts like it’s pressing down on a not set c stick

That's not why; Pichu's AI has a tendency to use down smash. The AI treats it as move inputs, not controller inputs, which is why they're frame-perfect.

Actually I think the reason he doesn‘t use thunder is because of how they learn, I believe that due to you changing the stick which is used for smash Attacks to specials, you use Down B while the AI learns to use whatever is on the right stick a lot. But I have no proof that this the reason neither do I know how they programmed the AI.

The mystake that you've made was: see you have changed *your* controlls but the thing you've seen is downspecial by right stick down, the amiibo saw down *smash* because of the standard controlls, I think
