The little man-made circle mound thing at 11:20 is used to mark the border between one piece of land and another, it isn't used everywhere, but necessary some places, not exactly sure why. Called "Kupica" in Latvian, not sure of an English translation.
The spiders trick from the end is legit! Sometimes there's a spot in the forest with loads hidden under leaves and stuff and you can spot so many more with a torch than you could during the day
I think I met you while I was bicycling up the California coast the summer of 2020. It was somewhere north of Santa Barbara but south of San Francisco if I remember correctly. If it wasn't you then it was some other crazy guy on a unicycle. Happy Trails. 😊
2:22 That picture is BRILLIANT! One literally dead, the other one seems to be thinking: "What's up? I am ready to go another 100 miles! Just hold my beer ... eeh ... sandwich!" 😂
@@SylvainOULALA I don't count trying to get up on the unicycle. As falls. In I count a fall as him completely falling on the ground without catching himself on his feet.
I saw a unicyclist riding through Camborne here in Cornwall today, I felt like yelling Ed Pratt to see what happens, but he was already gone by the time i finished the thought
@@marcinkwiatkowski9926 this far north you have no choice in winter. Longer days arriving now though which is great. Big lights on bars and helmet mean it's almost like daylight with modern LEDs. How we used to manage with halogens I've no idea.
Hi Ed, Been a fan of yours for a long time now. Congrats on all your achievements and accomplishments on the old one wheeler 👍 I was watching one of your videos where you said its a fixed crank, makes sense, obviously so you can peddle backwards to keep balance at low speeds and such. But do they not make a hub that has a switch or something. To enable you to freewheel. I just think it could come in handy, especially on mountains ⛰️ and hills . Just curious really, is there such a thing? Have you looked into it ? Or am I being dumb and not seeing a problem with a switch/ratchet type system. Keep up the good work buddy, wish I had the balls to just set off on my tod and have adventures. Very inspiring mate 👏 👍 😊
From searching electric unicyle after searching unicyle and I was like "Wait there are electric unicycle?". But then I saw it's versy small and different. And with it you probably couldn't ride on hiking trails. Like it seems there isn't electric unicylce which looks like regular unicycle.
Ed, (bit of constructive criticism) I was really enjoying your journey up until Sylvain joined you. I'm sure he's a good friend, and you definitely enjoyed his company, but it changed the dynamic of the trip.
