How can I know if I distribute the pressure of the tongue evenly on both sides of the roof? I feel that my left side mewing is stronger than the right. And I'm mewing to enhance my facial asymmetry in the first place.

@@Wittbore idk about you but I haven't seen any measurement showing a change in maxilla after 25. Only pictures and scans that show no change though. But maybe the OP has it, would be the first.

We want something about uneven mewing. My left maxilla is prominent but right one is how it was 2 yeats ago and i realized that my tongue always pushes only on the left side of my palate.
@@MsFiFix1 I've fixed most of my scoliosis and now I can reach the right side of my tongue to the palate. The problem is that right part of tongue is ALWAYS on the roof and 'Swallowing'. I swallow mostly with the right side of tonguw

In my practice we also use invisaligne for slow expanding the maxilla. Everything what expand the maxilla helps mewing. We have good results with the transforce, even by very motivated adults. Every transforce can expand the maxilla with 8mm! No surgery required, but, only for the higly motivated patients. Greetings from the Netherlands, TCO venlo.

Dr Mike, in your first answering questions video you addressed the question of whether or not the tip of the tongue should touch the back of the teeth. The answer you gave seem to contradict what you said in other videos/podcasts because i think you said that the tongue touching the teeth in this way would lead to problems. I believe one of them was the front two teeth getting a gap between them. I think im missing something here. Were you referring to the tongue touching the teeth while not pressing against the roof of the mouth, hence the problems?
I'm wearing Sleepobrace and it's giving me a terrible overbite but I'm thinking that it's because my mandible's smaller than my maxilla and the pressure's more on top. I'm thinking that my overbite will move back once my jaws have expanded later. If that doesn't work, I might have to get surgery.
I’m 3 months into having invisaline and it has destroyed my face. My jaw looks smaller, my face is sagging and looks longer, my cheeks and temples are hollowed in, and I have wrinkles around my eyes and left side of my mouth which weren’t there before. I’ve always had a really youthful round face, and now it’s like all the fat is gone and I look like I’ve aged 10 years. I haven’t lost any weight. I also had horrible gum recession, tooth sensitive, and TMJD going into this… which the orthodontist said wasn’t a problem at all. And everything I just listed has gotten so much worse, so it has been a problem. I’m in constant horrible pain. He also filed in between my bottom front teeth to make them smaller, and so I can’t stop the invisaline or else I’ll have gappy teeth. I didn’t want him to do this, and I still feel sick that I didn’t stand up for myself more and let it happen. I’m too young to be having all these problems, and there’s no way I just “aged” in 3 months like this. I don’t know what to do. This has been a $6,000 nightmare and I feel hopeless and worthless and stupid. I should have done deeper research rather than trusting the orthodontist. Does anyone have any advice?
really think you shouldn't be using mr beast style thumbnails for your video, it seems less authentic and authenticity is the meta right now on social media. my suggestion is to keep the background objects the same but use an UNedited version of Dr Mike Mews face instead of a heavily edited, AI or CGI version
I am 40y old, I have a slight overbite and my lower jaw is misaligned because the mid line of my lower teeth is displaced some 2-3 mm to the left compared to the upper jaw. Nevertheless, my bite feels comfortable and I have no problems chewing and no TMJ problems. I did traditional orhtodontic treatment in the past which solved some crowding issues but didn't do much about my overbite and my jaw misalignment. I also have bruxism at night and I don't know if it is caused by the jaw problem or if it is causing it. Can I fix these problems (misaligned jaw, overbite and bruxism) with mewing only or do I need to undergo another othodontic tratment?
@adrianvalero2350 well sorry to say I don't recommend it I have been practicing mewing since I was 12 I'm 15 now I was doing it wrong way and doing what folks called "hard mewing " it messed up my teeth don't do it unless u really know what ur doing! Good luck!!
Doctor, I get a perfect suction cup and my tongue goes to the ceiling, but after a week or four days I don’t feel the suction cup as before, meaning the feeling changes. I feel like my tongue is behind me, not on the ceiling, and I swallow completely. Do you have any ideas?

I have noticed great change on the face above upper lip. but there is no growth or negative growth below lower lips. my chin has become small and receed backward. What could be the reason? I think I have done mewing correctly. And i rest the upper teeth with lower teeth and my lip is sealed. Reply from anyone would be great

I had great success getting rid of TMJ symptoms by doing the series of TMJ exercises/poses in the old paperback "Pain Free" by Pete Egoscue. Such things as 'knee pillow squeezes' helped to realign my skeleton from toe to head (even though I have awful scoliosis that is fused in place by an obsolete rod surgery) so that my mandible was freed up into a better position.

I only get a good amount of gains I my right side but not that much in left side so I feel like to fix it even though I change my tongue posture place iam not able to correct it so iam not able to be consistent in mewing can pls suggest a proper pressure applying way ..because I want be consistent

The material of the aligners probably blocks tiny gaps between your teeth. When you take the aligners out, air seeps through the tiny gaps & you can't create a strong vacuum
@@4bidden1 Well, your upper anterior teeth overlap over your lower anterior teeth so the upper teeth can blockgaps of the lower & vice versa. When they give you elastics just make sure to wear them religiously
In order to do mewing you need a expanded palate , it is impossibe to mew with narrow palate cuz the tounge will not fit , to expand the palate u might need to invest in expander costs around 20k in india or try thumb pulling
@@leohydes after mewing for some time, like after three days I got sore throat, stopped mewing for a while until it goes away. Then after that I mew again and got it after three days again, some people also talked about it in reddit but tyere is no definitive answer
