Thank you Captain Xavier for this series...funny thing is, it seems like the blasters that dont need a spring upgrade as bad as other blasters take k26 the best...breakflip and reaper as personal examples that i own that are really decent stock...along w the fact nerf brand dart blasters consistently have the chinziest internals..
Can the cylinder of a Guardian Crossbow be put on a Vagabond? The answer is YES!! All you gotta do is cut and smooth down the stem that holds the bow-string and the crossbow's cylinder + internals will drop in perfectly! Now all of you who want a minimized Vagabond, rejoice!
Hi cap , love this vid , I'm in the process of intergrations this blaster with the vortex flywheel blaster stock and Iv singled the barrel and upgraded the spring and its feeding a lot better with very little to no jamming with a fps of 90 Keep up the great work mate
I look forward to seeing where the D.D. is going, is there enough room to use rough cut PT in it? Plus maybe a brass breach? Idk just rambling I guess lol, keep up the cool vids Captain.
The Double Dealer looks like it would be really cool cosmetically with a paint job like many of the WWII fighter planes, with the teeth and all.. especially with clear jam door.
Concept for the double dealer.. Rig it so only one mag fires at a time... More power from that plunger and if you run out slap in the 2nd mag (held back some how) to push thru.. might be a way to redeem it.
I hadn't seen the insides of a double dealer before, that plunger gives me the temptation to single it with a brass breach and use the opposite side as just mag storage (or as a space to integrate something janky, because that sounds cool)
It works really well if you put one mag in all the way and then leave the other protruding slightly such that when one side is empty you can push the other in and fire both individually or at the same time if you like
I'm sort of tempted to say put a flywheel cage on one side then leave the plunger for the other size. I'm not sure how you'd manage to get a pusher of any kind in there, but if it could be done...
I passed up a double dealer (thrifting). The left bolt likes to shove darts into the right barrel and the (left) dart tooth likes to snag or bite onto the darts as well.
Captain Xavier What if you forgo the rotation all together and make it a 12 Round shot gun instead? Would the drain blaster have enough power or would it not be enough?
hey cap iv seen a really great mod guid to fix all the horrors of the the double dealer but i was wondering before i buy one, is it a smart ar system? can you only load one mag or will it just dryfire and kill itself?
Technically it is a Smart AR...I guess. Both barrels have ARs so if it is empty all the air should go out the other side...not sure how good the seals are though.
I think if you’ve scrapped Deploys - and imagination - the Double Dealer could be modded - I’ll send you drawings … I was expecting you to trim the plunger rod. - then I thought Air Power.
The raider/rampage fits exceptionally well over the stock spring. It does not nest as it is larger diameter but the spring back stock is just the right size to fit both
Nice work. The Double Dealer has become this grneration's Deploy, but the Deploy had fewer issues. I think that the Double Dealer has potential if someone takes the time to work things out properly.
Kane FireHero The major issue with the Deploy was the fact it was direct plunger. Many people have done some minor lock removals to make it a very reliable blaster. Several reviewers had the Double Dealer jam in the first mags with new darts. Each person has their own preferences, but the DD has several issues from the get-go. I would still like to pick one up for the looks, but it is limited if you don't put a lot of time into it.
homelee665 if you double the spring and plug up the air hole many of the problems are solved. A speedier delivery of air leaves less time or room for the dart to jump track into the other chamber or become jammed. You can also remove locks and add a divider to further prevent jamming.
I like the double dealer I have one so I got some questions for you if you can find out. The blaster can shoot from a single side if only one mag is in but dose it gain power or lose it? Now issues with jams I have only had one witch was ether the cheap mag I used or the dart that had a small indent in it.
So yes I was waiting for this episode since the time I picked up 5 double dealers for £10 each (for the mags at first but then started to like the blaster)
Hey Captain X, thoughts on merging the nose of a double dealer (tactical rail part included) with the barrel break or that buzzbee break action coagmch gun? I think it could make a nice taticool shell for costumes or just fun factor.
hey Cap'n, have you tried to see if the Nerf N-Strike Elite Rough Cut and the Nerf Zombie Strike Hammershot can take a K26 yet? that would give them quite the punch if you ask me, and are both common blasters in both HvZ and standard Nerf wars. can't tell you how often I see the rough cut and hammershot. last indoor war I went to, I saw three people, myself included, carrying a rough cut
yeah i saw that vid after i posted this. Sorry! im gutted it cant take one..... it would make the Jolt as awesome as the deploy is bad! (poor deploy gets soo much hate)
Captain Xavier got one at a Goodwill outlet because one of the locks was stuck and the pull string had ripped. Very easy and fun fix using Rob from SBNCs vid.
the part of the rod where the spring slides on is load bearing? I though that that part of the plunger rod was just supposed to make sure that the spring is straight.
The notch that I catch engages with is on the plunger rod. If you trim it too far the catch will not engage. If you cut it unevenly they the spring will not be centered and it might cause uneven stress on the catch and it will not engage or might not release.
