This has gotta be the worst rework suggestion yet. Basically turning him into Road-fist-ture practically guaranteed to be hated by a huge portion of players. Forget the rest of your concept, even the fundamentals are missed. An interchanging primary fire like that is so unintuitive and needlessly complicated. You’re already incentivizing close range encounters by having overhealth generate when Junk collaterals himself, but if you’re really worried about long range lobs you could just gut the fall-off trajectory so that the travel arch falls to the ground at a much closer range. Or make it a true secondary fire that sends him flying and replace mines. Hell, you could even give him severe range fall-off and slightly buff point-blank primary. All that without some monotonous change that adds clunkiness to the kit and needlessly complicates the primary fire while ALSO stripping player agency. I don’t want to just shit on you tho, so I do want to express that I respect and greatly value thinking creatively and trying the conjure solutions and discussion. There are some interesting ideas here like the riptire mobility is pretty fun and very Junkrat, that could be implemented rn and the Australian Atomic Warhead could work on a hyper mobility character just probably not current or even this suggested form of rat. I just think you got lost in the sauce in this and crafted some absolute ass.

Just balance the 1shot properly, tire is easy to destroy on high elo even tho it destroys bronze lobbies, a change isn't urgent but it could use a bit more of balance tho I can't think of it, no need to rework everything! Grenades could also have a bounce damage falloff, detonate faster to allow more parkour and less annoyance to the enemy, more speed and precision but less damage, etc. I think Junkrat does need balance still but as i said its not urgent at all, he's pretty defenseless without concussive mines to move around, im a Genji main and i rarely feel threatened by a Junkrat, it just really depends on the map and the approach since i do parkour maps and i have impeccable movement, i don't usually engage junkrats and when i do i try to watch out for their one shot by keeping my distance and dashing in when they're reloading, the passive is actually hilarious and its most of the time a skill issue when anyone steps into the grenades (has happened to me a few times its so funny!!) they're just really powerful on low elo because of tire and 1shot which are easy to avoid and counter with the right awareness, i wish junk mains had more opportunities on high elo :(( they're so nice and silly most of the time, love you guys, keep bombing everyone as much as u want to!!

i see your thoughts on wanting to change junkrat a bit, but i dont think these changes are the greatest. i think this would be more suited for the april fools patch, it would so funny to see junkrat flailing off the side of riptire.

As a junkray player that has spent wayyyyy to much time on the character, that is the worst rework suggestion I have ever seen for him and removes all of the things that made people like him in the first place. And btw, when tf did you think that JUNKRAT could be a TANK. That could work as a joke, but seriouly, junkrat is not a tank, he is all the opposite, he is a glass cannon which is literaly the polar oposite to a tank. This rework completly shatters his identity as a character, and everything that makes junkrat junkrat in the first place. Tho, not want hate much, it is still an attempt ya made. Just please, spend more time understanding the character before making one of these

If he was a tank then literally every junker character would be in the tank role. He's also way too scrawny to stand next to giants like Hog or Rein.

The ideas are super cool! But junkrat just wouldn’t fit as a tank at all. Even with this. I’d much rather have a new character with these kinds of abilities. Love the ult actually, that’s pretty fun.

I have never laughed so hard as I did at the riptire rework, but then I kept listening and it actually sounds really fun. I mean it's still hillarious, but the ability design is very cool

Wait, you wanted to focus on CC but.. he loses his trap anyways?? You could just keep him as a DPS and get rid of all the tanky parts of this kit and keep the mobility parts and just make him a dive DPS. like... h u h

fixed? tf you on about? ask any actual junk player rn, including me and theyll say junk is the most fun he's been in a while, he is also super weak rn but still fun. the loss of 1 shot that didnt actually take away his one shot just made it harder and higher hp pools in general to get random spammed by junk less overall raised junks skill ceiling by forcing you to do the new one shot or hit a second shot which is on your skill because of the movement lock out. raising his skill ceiling while lowering his skill floor and keeping his maximum effectiveness and value mostly intact. junk is exactly what a dps should be, someone who can easily get some value for new players but in higher ranks will struggle to get kills unless you put in the time to get really good at him. i do this his primary fire should do less cc but his mines are so integral to his playstyle that changing them in any way would lose most of junks identity. the trap could be changed because it doesnt complement the rest of his kit as much as it used to losing the trap mine kill combo but without it he doesnt really have any way to deal with high mobility heros like tracer and ball and there is enough counterplay and skill on both sides in interactions with trap that i dont think it needs to be changed, its a perfectly suiting ability to junk.

no no noooooo, there is nothing wrong with him, if you can't get good value out of him it's a you problem, not a Junkrat problem. If you think he's only a spam hero, you're very wrong. If you can't calculate his shots to get direct hits, you're probably a hitscan player. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

yea but he is kinda weak in the current meta. super good for damage and ult can be pretty valuable here n there but overall C tier this season when he was easily High B low A pre nerf

His very existence is annoying enough for me to want a rework, but he’ll even I know it’s a skill issue. He needs some tweets to change him to be less oppressive in metal, and better in higher tiers, but he’s fine right now.

@@carus4president The cooldown between traps is too short, sometimes it’s unfair to randomly throw a trap and it suddenly gets someone. I want Junkrat to be more strategic with his traps than let RNG do its work. He could still do it, but he can no longer throw it at all times.
