Jamal is just as good as Kyrie as a 2nd option. Kyrie might be a better clutch player and better stat numbers but given his availability (historically and at present) … for regular season I would say they are equal Although as a spectator I would rather watch Kyrie than Jamal … so commercial value is also Kyrie but just on game influence it’s the same.
honestly i dont think mavs (rn) have worse team then nuggets (excluding jokic and luka) but we talking since trade deadline - and mavs are doing way better Washington and Gafford are balling its hard for me to choose MVP .id be bias . i think the voters got numb to what those two are doing . and jokic has that "stolen mvp" credit from last year
Jokic is also first in PER, Value over Replacement Player, Winshares/48, Offensive AND Defensive Box plus minus With Jokic also having far better On/Off Numbers, Even if The Mavs did end up being the 4th seed I cant imagine a world where you’re first in quite literally every single metric that measures value(with some not even being close), the first Seed and somehow not win MVP. We’d have to completely redefine what Most Valuable Player means at that point
Fine with me, just the fact that there’s even a debate between Luka at 25 before his prime for mvp against one of the best players of all time Jokic in his prime is allll I need to hear
