here comes the BS most of the DLC bosses are resisting to both rot and destined death thus ending up demolishing her Consort (pre nerf) ,Furnace golem and Bayle always cook the vassal of trash unless she is bloated with buffs like most channels do to her and if the A.I and RNG bugged out
@@gabrieldoyen692 sure - heal on hit or whatever you might call it. she still ain't hitting any live enemy. she isn't recovering hp when she hits the wall after all...
@@ashelliot8895same thing happens when placidusax teleports , enemies hit him even when he is invisible and yet I've never seen anyone complain about it
@@kaiserdetectivegolden2735 He is, there is already a video on this channel, only Runebear is close to him. And I mean in the running animation not teleporting or anything else because that is cheating.
I have an idea. Can Malenia defeat any boss, but instead of removing her lifesteal, you give the bosses rot immunity? If necessary, she can be scaled up to ng+7. What do you think?
I mean yeah, the DLC scaling is so high because of the Scadutree blessing system, which is unfair in these BvB videos since it's meant for players. If you want to make these fights fair the base bosses should either have equal scaling or max blessing level.
nothing is crazy here it is a DLC which is supposed to be the hardest content in the game also just got very high scaling because of the broken builds in the base game so don't end up deleting them in seconds other wise
Ngl the reason people hate on her is cause these vids show what a conceptually ridiculous boss she kinda is. Extremely high damage, insane health reserves, a crazy fast moveset, and obviously the lifesteal. Then a little bit of scarlet rot in phase 2 to make you lose your sanity. Her difficulty was never overrated we just memorized the win conditions
Nah. She has numerous weaknesses and almost every move is easily countered. She's vulnerable to almost every status effect. Her phase 1 is ridiculously passive. She can be stunlocked with 6 different weapon arts/loadouts. There's loads of obvious, wiiiide open opportunities to counter (unlike, say, Phase 2 consort). Scarlet Aeonia is basically "free hits or time to re-buff and heal". If you get phase 2 rot it's because you didn't even try to learn the moves as those are super easy to avoid. She is very tough, as a secret optional boss should be. But a totally fair fight.
It would have been funny if, after beating the Furnace Golem.... Gideon showed up at the door. With base game scaling.... So.... He'd basically be one shot while saying "I NEED HELP!"
26:21 Messmer:Haha you are ded Malenia:No U Messmer:Died to rot after 26:50 Radahn:HELLO(come down with a meteor strike) Still Radahn:Where the hell is your sis? Miquella:Does my face says I know? And another idea:Unalloy Malenia vs DLC bosses Gauntlet
Yo the way Putrescent Knight entered the arena was epic! And despite all her cheap gimmicks, actually like Malenia. But yes, her gimmick makes watching some of her fights really boring. But this video is centered around her so i'm fine with that. Okay, the way you made them all appear and in sync with the music is amazing! It's pure cinema!
Believe it or not, I actually really like Malenia’s boss fight. I just hate watching her in these because it almost never feels like she one fair and square.
Malenia's AI is pretty calm, especially on her first phase. The only reason she's overpowered is her lifesteal and her Scarlet Aeonia. Her damage doesn't do much against the more tanky bosses.
The same thing is true of almost every boss. Let's take away Maliketh's destined death. Without it, he's garbage. Let's take away Radahn's meteor. Let's take away Bayle's top two AOE/blast moves. Let's take away Messmer's mega-combo.
Healing every time you, attack makes you perfect for gauntlet competitions, whether it's versus bosses, or other players. It's a very helpful tool. This is why Malenia is so good in boss gauntlets, unlike most of the other bosses, because she CAN actually HEAL unlike others. Yet she technically lost on Messmer, so Radahn and the Furnace Golem didn't really have to fight her. But considering how close the Messmer vs Malenia fight was, I would've revived Malenia, but in her 2nd phase, on very low hp. And then you send in the Furnace Golen, then aftwerwards... let the Malenia vs Radahn fight commence.
@@BjornTheBear Except that you somehow buffed them so they never stagger no matter how many times the feet were hit. This is the central mechanic of those enemies, you can knock them down periodically.
Bjorn it would be interesting to see Sekiro’s Inner Father go up against her BUT with his mikiri counter and critical stomp attack activated whenever malenia thrusts and/or is posture broken. Idk if other channels have done the same or not but i never saw such a fight. Make sure do the inner version instead of the normal one
That would be really hard to do, since they're from different games. Of course the games are similar in the way they're built, so it's not impossible, but it's a much much much bigger hurdle than making enemies from the same game fight
@@webpombo7765 yea i thought so. Maybe use the modded malenia in sekiro instead of bringing owl father into ER since that way malenia’s thrusts are already registered as perilous and therefore mikiri-counter-able? And posture breaks based on the meters there already triggers owl father to stomp. Idk. Also, owl father/ shinobi owl/ inner father have a great resistance to poison (and rot). So he might have a good chance
Now I want to see Malenia with both her base game phases & both her Consort Of Miquella phases together run a gauntlet of all major bosses in both the base game & dlc, that would be a crazy video to watch if you'd be able to pull it off.
FS really outdid themselves with malenia, it shows even to this day, she was too damn OP. I had to use spirit summons and rivers of blood just to...barely.....beat her.
Nah. She's meant to be hard (secret, optional boss). But not OP at all. Just like other bosses, you have to learn her set well. She's vulnerable to almost every status effect (as you learned with RoB.. but you can frost her, blackflame etc). Her phase 1 is absurdly passive allowing you to back off and heal or buff at almost any time. She has way less armor and poise than other bosses and can be staggered and stunned. Her phase 2 aeonia is like "free hits or time to buff/heal" since it is easily avoided. Waterfowl is not properly designed, I think, but also you only see it 1-3 times (if you are otherwise prepared) and it's never enough for her to win.
@@satekeeper I understand where you're coming from. Depending on your buffs and build, you can make her a lot easier, but with the build I had (crucible knight build), if I got trapped in the waterfowl dance and didn't move out in time, it was almost an instant kill every time. For her to still be an optional boss, almost everyone agrees, she was still hard as hell. Not complaining though, just saying, they really outdid themselves with her, she was hard af, like they intended. Even other bosses barely keep up with her as you can see...not to mention, that damn cheesy ass life steal buff she had.
@@AgentB-0711 re: waterfowl. In phase 1 you usually know it'll come after 30-40% damage. This makes it relatively easy to bait out and outrun the first flurry (this is by far the most damaging). You can also just throw a frost pot and cancel it+frostbite her. But I also later learned flurry 2 and 3 are much easier to counter. Flurry 2, generally dodge into and flurry 3, usually don't have to move at all or back off a bit. A little practice changed waterfowl for me completely, even though I can't just no-hit dodge it. My last win, 1 WF in phase 1 and 2 in phase 2 including one at point-blank range. I took some hits, but survived them all and had half my heals left at the end of the fight. She is not difficult for me now, and I am NOT some amazing skill player.
I disagree, you can get out of range of it incredibly easily, but Consort Radahn's second phase flurry of golden slashes ending in the big golden arc all around cannot be outranged, he gets right on top of you, so the rolls must be timed.
@@webpombo7765 lol, bosses don't dodge clone attacks they just stand in that thing and die, clone attacks do way more damage than Radahn's meteor and inflicts scarlet rot.
Bjorn, Any chance you can do the BASE GAME SPIRIT SUMMON TEAM vs DLC SPIRIT SUMMON TEAM?? I’ve been asking for ages. You said ok once but would you be able to do this one?
Is there a reason your furnace golems never stagger no matter how many times their feet get slashed? That's kind of their whole deal. Did you modify them to be invulnerable to stagger?
"Sister, how are you ? Look, my plan was flawless after all, thanks to you, now I can help both of us, and we can rule as gods ! - I. Am. Malenia. Blade. Of. Miquella - huh... Yeah, I know... Thanks ? Are you okay sister - I have never known defeat - AYUDAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!"
Lifesteal is the key mechanic that makes me hate her guts. Still crazy that even her broken the way she is only has a chance when equal scaling. Great vid!
Not really lifesteal. But I like that mechanic. It forces the player to learn her set rather than just being able to turtle up and trade blows, which requires basically no skill at all. I think a secret, optional boss should require skill to defeat. It's not much different from how other super-power moves work where if you stand there or block, you get eradicated (Radahn meteor, Golem's laser, Putrescent Knight's frost barrage, etc).
Nah. Bayle gets a major advantage all the huge bosses get, Malenia's AI is not meant to fight them so it gets really confused about hitbox and distances (e.g. we see her waterfowl randomly skew 20 meters away from enemy). He only did that well because of AI confusion and how it dampens her ability to use special moves as much and land them.
@@Yoshikage-Bowie Those aren't cheats tho? Those are just game mechanics bro, you one of those guys that tries to argue in pvp that parrying or bleed is cheating?
This video showed me that Malenia would be working at Burger King if she didn't have Waterfowl Dance. Two of them back to back against Gaius is crazy work. Edit: Didn't finish the video when I commented, but holy lord the Waterfowl spams😭
Yes that’s a part of her move set it’s stupid to say “ if she didn’t have the waterfowl , scarlet rot “ It’s like saying if malekith didn’t have his blade and Radahn without his gravity magic
@@Xagrou1085 Also, she doesn't "spam" it. This would mean to do it over and over in sequence. In fact, we always notice the rare event when it's 2 in a row because that IS so rare. And there's long stretches without her using it.
