Thanks for watching everyone! Loving the new space, this is just the start! Max and I will be filming another video showing the rig and preset in it’s final form, at which point we’ll have refined everything and it’ll be available on the cloud 🙌
Awesome seeing behind the scenes. Sorry to get granular… where did you get the custom knobs for the QC? Definitely need those … QC rocks but the knobs are a bit close together… thank you!
@@mhudson no problem! They’re the mooer button toppers. I had to buy a few packs to get them all clear coloured. Just so the LED’s can shine through a bit if that makes sense
The contributions Rabea is making to Neural make the QC an even greater unit. Sharing these things on the Cloud is truly a gift to many of us and I do really appreciate it. Thank you Rabea and Neural.
I was at said presentation - just found this. Bought a quad cortex after your demonstration. Been waiting for a while but that made me pull the trigger. No one has beat your tone in that room to-date. Funny finding this after all that.
Kemper and Helix owner. Got my QC three days ago and have to say I’m very impressed. It’s far better than I was expecting and genuinely moves the game on. Love it. Hope Neural realised how much influence you have on people buying these things.
Would love to see you breakdown some Incubus or karnivool stuff. Maybe aiming to get their tones. Maybe not exactly the same but something you think sounds good for a section. Then maybe going and writing a riff or something using some of their ideas
Bea this is so damn cool! The capture vs real amp are SO hard to tell if at all which is which. Neural really keep knocking it out of the park lol Great video, love this style of content.
Darnit Rabea. I passed on the quad 3x because I was unhappy with the Kemper and helix. No feel or sound that I liked tbh. I love my amps and pedals but you came along and played that big festival and now I have 2 quads. I also saw a light speed. Now I’m getting one. I want to try it again. I’m a recovering pedal addict. I’ve been doing good since the quad. It keeps me busy. But now it’s starting again. The pedal buying is creeping back. Oh well. I feel like I worked yrs to get where I’m at. I used awful gear for yrs but as I got better and well, utube came about the buying became an issue. Most people would’ve quit if they had my beginner’s gear. It was unplayable. Now you can get a nice beginner’s guitar for cheap. So I’m going to enjoy my amps, pedals and my quad. Congrats on the Ernie Ball guitar. I saw it coming when u we’re trying one during the frogleap tour. And so many endorsements. A new chapter. Congrats. 🎉 ps don’t forget your funk, blues, rock. Love that stuff.
Have a QC since launch, and haven't had anything that comes close to it when it comes to capture an amp's tone, but, still waiting for the QC to be able to capture a fuzz pedal. My tone is 60% fuzz to an amp, and the other 40% it's just high gain stuff (actually a Kraken capture). When that time comes, that I can capture my fuzzes and use only the QC and an expression pedal, that will be one glorious day...
LOVE THIS! Thanks so much for sharing, I know I personally love these kinds of videos. Your new space is awesome and hope to be watching a ton more videos coming from your new creative environment. Will you upload these captures? Would be wicked.... just sayin.
Man, as a Kemper player, I have really missed the option for stereo rigs. Not that I need a stereo setup in the band I currently play in, but the QC has a huge advantage in being able to be a complete in-the-box stereo solution. And as a bass player as well as being a guitar player, the additional internal signal routing is also a step above the Kemper. Been loving my Kemper, and as an 'ecosystem' it works so well because the rest of the band uses the unit, but this video has me tempted to check out the QC.
Are you still planning on sharing this preset/captures? I'm curious to see just how much info goes between scenes with a FOH and Cab setup, plus those captures sound absolutely mint!
It's no practical for me to run stereo for the time being (using FrFr atm)... Those tones out have captured are to show for, totally blown me away as usual. 🤘😎🤙🕉️
Honest question.. i have an awesome mark V 25 with a matching cab and torpedo.. but almost never use it and the setup kinda kills the vibe as it takes so long to get running. i love this amp and when you play with a full band it sounds incredible… would it be worth it to swap the setup for a quad cortex? Also back issues will definitely make carrying around an amp+cab+torpedo+pedals difficult
hmmm, i got seriously lost. whatever you were doing, the results were great. the extent of my ability to reduce the size of my single head and quad box is i've got a captor x coming. i hope to get a good di sound, turn it into stereo, and add delay and reverb after the stereo out of the captor x. retaining my core tone i love from the amp and the pedal board that is used in front of amp.
Only seen to the Kenton midi splitter so far, it’s such a great unit that also works with the gigrig G3 as the G3 doesn’t have midi power to power something like the midi solutions Quadra through;) my big board wouldn’t work without it hahah😅
I wish they would make a smaller with less dsp version of the quad cortex, maybe a dual cortex? I'm always surprised by the captures these were spot on!
Litterally attempted to capture my kraken the other day in all settings of gain 1 and 2 to make a “toska” style stereo preset. Please tell me this is going on the cloud?
He mentions in one of the posts in this thread that when it is finished it is going to the cloud! I don't know if I would ever be able to use it, but it is really nice that they are sharing it with us. It will be under Rabea's name when they do post it.
Love to see you enjoying the new space, can't wait to what awesome pieces of music are you going to blow our minds with. Cheers man, love you and your work ❤
are planning on using anything to get a doubler effect live ie TC electronic mimiq? Does the Quad cortex have that built in? Thanks and sick sounds by the way!
I stopped using it cause it messed with the phase and thinned things out a bit for what I was doing. But yeah QC can do the same thing, it’s just a sample delay
I wonder if you can get similar tones with the hx stomp and a couple of pedals. I've always loved Rabea's tone but don't have the money for the exact same rig
I really want a QC. I just can't buy one until the N DSP plugins work with it. I mean, creating awesome tones and sounds with these plugins in the music lab is amazing... and then forking out a fortune to not be able to use the sounds I create live, its annoying me just thinking about it and I haven't bought a QC yet 😂 On a different note, I am curious about how anyone is using a QC with their pedals and how they switch between pedals like if they had a looper/switching system (like a Gig Rig G3)?
Can someone please explain why they used the shur reactive loaders to capture? What is the benefit of capturing the sound through them compared to capturing without them Thanks
I don't feel that the difference was "so close". Can clearly hear - even after RU-vid compression - that the amp has more gain, grit and trebles than the QC... Almost sounds like different amps to me.
Super clunky and dated tho with limited effects and only single amp the need to release a Kemper compact for pedal boards and a turbo/ profiler 2 that has double the amount of effects and dual amp
Nope. Try the quad and get back to us. I sold the Kemper. No feel. Sound needed pedals to help with both. Next up helix will be sold and thank goodness.
You can power quad cortex using the new cioks crux off your dc7. This will free up all 4 of the outputs you normally use when you chain power. I did it on mine. Much neater and loads of free outlets too
