Thinking about the narcissists in my life one day, I thought something I often think, and hear others use as well, and that is, 'man, they are vampires, just a constant drain on my energy.' A narcissistic family leads to a phenomenon of its own. People need to make sense of the world, so the narc treatment of constant confusion logically means that a child that wants to survive has to come up with explanations of its own that counteract the destructive fantasy they are forced into. My only safe space were books, everything else was a war zone. As soon as I could read I escaped into those worlds, finding peace, meaning, morals, healthy ways of interacting completely opposite to what my reality looked like. I still escape into stories to reassure myself that the story we are told is not reality. That dominating and damaging others is not the way things should be. You could call that escapism. But I know that this kept me sane. It is a fine line between clinging to another fantasy to escape reality and using fantasies to resist the scapegoat fantasy. I would never have been able to not despair and go insane, brainwashed and isolated from the start, if it were'nt for the stories I read that gave me hope and reassurance, showed me that there is more to life than the reality I had to endure. The jungle book is not reality. But would'nt it be great if we realized that we all bleed red? That we all feel fear and pain and loneliness and need others to survive? If I would'nt cling to the hope that it is possible for us to rediscover this truth I would not have been able to survive.
i grew up in a very fed up situation, but not one of a narc nature. i get your getting away from it. my getting away, was the woods. being a avid hunter since a very young age. peace, quiet, serenity. you have 2 choices as a child to survive a sh it situation, as far as im concerned. learn from it, learn how not to be, and dont ever become like them. with narcs some wires got crossed, and they carried on the insanity, hurting others, into their adult life. not only do they hurt others, but totally destroy their own lives in the process. i view them as a total waste, of perfectly good human beings, by their own hands, by their own doing. self destruction at its finest.

Source: google We call them narcisa(e) in romanian and apparently russians call them the same. I remember one of Salvador Dali's paintings had a narcissus flower in his "Metamorphosis of Narcissus" painting. It's coming out of an egg. Mentally healthy mature, intelligent, strong adults can rationalize negativity; let it go; become stronger and very resilient. My dear mother used to say that what does not kill you can make you stronger. That is true.

Basically what reality is, is a dream. We are all fractals of the divine having a human experience. Could say reality is a giant mirror where we are all reflecting reality back and forth towards each other energetically, creating the very reality we call "real". Point of meditation is to center and bring one back to themselves in harmony instead of the disharmonious patterns that have nothing to do with what we truly are which makes up this world. Could call this reality a "false matrix" that is hijacked by psychopaths. Could call this an experiment of consciousness and the expansion of it in a game of "free will". Will they return to themselves in the most harmonious ways possible and build the better future or will they fall to disharmonious patterns and fall to complete destruction. The light and the dark. For creation to evolve you need the disharmonious patterns. If you were surrounded by nothing but light would you truly be given the chance to truly know what you are as a being of light is the important question. You can't have a hero without a villain. You cant have courage without cowardice. Love and hate being both sides to the same coin. The point once "leaving" because none of us actually die is to leave with a sturdier back and a more tender heart. I can sit here and explain from my own experiences "spiritual warfare" and psychic attacks from having a "soul tie" with a malignant narcissist, but if you havent experienced it yourself anything i say could be explained away by some expert saying im simply in a state of being in psychotic break of reality. Not possible to pick up on someone completely across the state or globe projecting all sort of negatively intentioned thought forms because you have long since decided to not play in their "false reality". Narcs a perfect example of why the slave master is more miserable than the slave. Do i believe we are here to become masters of own reality in a way yes. Do i believe we are spiritual beings tied to each other energetically, yes. Do i believe we are all under the illusion of separation while we are here yes. For example if you were to kick the dog here, you wouldnt feel it, but if you were on the "other side" kicking the dog would be a shared excruciating experience. Not my job to help, fix, or force anyone to share my perspective tho. Creation is not weak and all anyone needs me to be from my perspective is a light house on a foggy night or day. Once you can let go of any sort of need of control or focus on others then it becomes easier to understand them and have compassion and be in allowance of all realities and the most harmonious way. Not acceptance of anyones disharmonious patterns but allowance that who and what people are and their projections have nothing to do with me. Can play the endless game of what ifs, but thats all ego wanting to make its point. What if someone punched your momma in the face. Then i would deal with it accordingly, but i wouldnt project endless hatred after the fact and i wouldnt be looking to go punch their mother in the face. Reality never needs to be that complicated. I dont need to respond to someones psychic attacks as well. I can sit here in my chair and recognize that has nothing to with me and i can send them love and have compassion. Most psychic attacks are people doing it from an unconscious state of being, meaning they dont think it possible that it will have an energetic drawback or consequence. My malignant narc ex was heavy into the "occult practices" so i had to wake up pretty quick. Because of my life experiences tho i know what it means to go to the darkest places and still have the only desire to love and be loved. Ive played in anger and now i can come from a place of compassion because ive been there and etc, etc. When you see forgiveness and gratitude as a state of being instead of the correct answers to the test where we get rewarded in a system where you dont get punished by some universal force you know you are on the right path back to oneness. If one were to rely on media to represent the state of the world of course it looks bleak, lacking connection, spirituality, creativity, humanity. There's a huge bias within the medium, not to mention the algorithms creating perpetual echo chambers. Because the people who are exhibiting those behaviours aren't wasting time on digital media, or at least spending far less time on it than the people that are feeling lack/fear. The people you are looking for are living in the real world, talking to their community, making art and music, sitting in nature. There is a huge revolution happening behind the scenes in response to this crumbling world. It's there and it's growing fast, you just need to know where to look.
I just wrote this comment on the latest Triggernometry episode: A few months ago I had a lecture on psychosis for work. The professor told us that the basis/mechanism/cause of all psychotic episodes is in its essence a fawlty interpretation of language. Always. The connection to what's happening in the world is alarming. The verbal acrobatics needed to define the pager attack as a war crime (or a man as a woman for example) is psychosis and/or psychosis inducing. 'Nothing gets in the way of the narrative' isn't only true about the "correct" interpretation of the conflict. The woke narrative is sacred. When fawlty language is worshipped, mass psychosis is established. It's the ultimate power, you can make people say, do and believe anything... You basically put a spell on people by spelling out the fawlty narrative ---------- I wrote it on the spot without thinking it completely through, but I feel like this video will be useful to complete or correct this idea. If anyone's interested, any input is very welcome. I need some sleep before I'll chew on this further.

I’m not sure about that pathway, but I’m confident the reverse is true - that returning to these things can diminish narcissistic traits in ourselves and protect us from evil. I completely agree because I lived extreme yang and yes that was the result 😂 I thought I could blaze through to the end goal. But no that only leads to destruction. Since I have reintegrated play, the arts, nature and spirituality back into my life, everything has changed, and I’m so much stronger 😊 I do believe the mystical state IS reality though :) I have come full circle lol I’m not sure that mislabelling things leads to narcissism, at least as far as the innocent ones go, but it is not a good practice, and agree about the high level stuff / demons at work🔥 If it doesn’t create narcissism it does enable it. People quite literally model the parents for 2-3 years and then there is a grid that flips to subconscious, like a program, the mother and father 2/3rds of your subconscious, the last is a friend grid you can swap people in and out of when you think of them. @ Natasha, answer is about avoiding going into a bad relationship again after leaving Narc. Make sure you pray often and are completely celibate for a long time. I never have had a relationship for over 20 years and really this is the singlemost best thing that ever happened to me, but realistically like one year would give a lot of help. I think we automatically superimpose the narcissist onto the new relationship and in some ways almost mold them into a reincarnation of our past abuser or torturer, I feel is what they have become to me.

I agree in your assessment that society as well as people need a balance of yin and yang to survive, and especially thrive. The reliance on fantasy, the entitlement and OCD around reality is the reason why people generally find it hard to decipher if; a person living with an addiction has NPD because the coordinates are the same, the hot/cold states that alternate with supply etc. And of course the supply of social media has rendered us all infantile and narcissistic as you've been saying forever. I don't agree that the culture is not affected by religion however, because there are giant swathes of religious communities all over the world. You could argue the harm or good they cause in a wider context, but as a way of life there are still huge revivals happening in Christian populations and conversions to Islam etc. I still believe more people in the world have some form of religious center than those that dont.

Parental narcissism I had a very had time replacing the word loop and still have trouble.. (if you love me you will .) ( you’re such a dumb ass…) I noticed these common phrases in my latest narcissistic entrapment. Sadly in both I was forced to never leave… the relationship one even took power tools to break into my home force himself there and tell everyone including the police that I broke the door or hit myself and sadly they believed it. With the rolling anxiety trying to replace interject I find my success is severely dependent upon my environmental surrounds - like the home of abuse vs peaceful lake… I would be able to effectively rewrite my narrative in a more positive way if the static was quiter… I focus too much on the distraction of the static that is made up of inaudible volume level of thousands of the same narcissistic overwrites from news politics family friends movies even… that finding all the fawlities has become overwhelming to say the least. I am trying to calm my soul with the familiar safe of nature in hopes it will calm my internal dialogue and re-write the way I see think and feel

Just courteous I am Nerodivergent and I notice my autism or adhd will calm while cpstd traits will take center stage with my ocd. With no other triggers in my environment only the sound frequencies…. Tone, tunes, music, birds… I just found online not sure it’s true what the guy is selling but he had a tone modifier for music that changes to adjust the perception when processed by the brain.. I did listen and it did something interesting.. I did stop thought and focused on the tone like trying to follow it to the origin.

narcissism is very simplistic in its raw form, but also very complicated. they all pretty much operate out of the same handbook, but none of them are exactly the same. i make this observation by studying the many narcs ive come in contact with. you seem to have a good handle on the complexity's. not being a judgemental, negative, di ck, but i can see your brain churning trying to explain it, and it is difficult. sooooooo many angles. not knowing, is the worst part of dealing with one. knowledge is understanding.

we don't need spirituality. Society works when there is an enforcement of rules, including moral rules. When no morals on the top, then it all goes to hell. History is clear.
I think there would have to be a chemical difference between atheism and theism. Like when we perceive reality without mysticism all of that chemical space that creates the mystic experience goes blank and our mind starts to create a new chemical composition

And that reminds me, sorry lol, that I have long been very suspicious as to why they would wish to lump people that enjoy hurting others with people trying to survive in an unjust world. Perhaps fostering an Us vs them mentality to quell societal change. If I were to put on my tinfoil cap :)
You are absolutely wrong about religion .They lack empathy .You don't need religion ..people need to have empathy. Structurally violent societies causes narcissists.
