I met those guys when they played Strathclyde University in 1977, well not Holger or Damo though, they wasn't there, but Irmin Schmidt, Michael Karoli, Rosco Gee and Jaki Liebezeit, and got them to sign a big yellow Can poster I grabbed off the wall! It's weird to think I spoke to them, it's like another lifetime ago!

was it the classic Schmidt/Suzuki/Kroli/Czukay/Liebzeit line-up? Either way, wow, I'm jealous as fuck, sometimes I wish I'd been born in a different era so I could've experienced bands like this in their prime...Can, Beefheart and The Who (even though even seen them twice, minus Keith Moon but with John Entwistle) would be on my wish list...I was talking to the co-founder of Titan Books and the Forbidden Planet chain of comic book shops a while back and his very first gig was The Doors supported by Jefferson Airplane at The Roundhouse!

All that kind of stage theatrics stuff came out of the psychedelic boom of the 60s, velvet underground, pink floyd, the doors... etc. All had lights and projections at their shows. I think it later carried on with glam rock and later became a mainstay once arena and opera rock stuff started taking pop stage performances to more ridiculous levels.

This makes me sad and depressed. In exactly 2 weeks time, the 'Can Project' are playing at the Barbican, I was unable to get tickets to this sold out event. But I WILL be going there and demanding to get into the damn venue and see this band play, ticket or not, how dare I be denied seeing the Can Project after all the shit I been through. @@floris1912 No, pretty much perma-fucked. I neglected to mention the part about me being unfairly sent to mental hospital in 2016, being put on drugs for schizophrenics, and as a result, got manipulated by this evil homeless crackwitch in there, who robbed me big time when she stayed the night a few weeks after I got out. Long story. But she stole my most treasured possessions. My mum died the week after my stroke when I was in hospital as well OK. Her parting gift to me was her extensive autograph collection of 60's popstars, of which I have about 100 of. But she found the stack of framed autographed photos that were next to my mum's picture shrine and stole the best 3, including the pride of the collection, the George Harrison. I need them back. I am effectively destroyed totally now that this has also happened to me. She stole my Tago Mago and Ege Bamyasi mint conditioned jewel cased remastered cd's in the haul as well btw. Cunt!! I only played the lottery in the 1st place because the man from my town who I gave my cat's other 2 kittens to 7 years earlier, somehow won the 3rd highest ever Euromillions jackpot of £108 million, which sparked my interest in playing it. He's called Neil Trotter. You can Google the man who's lottery win destroyed my life. But yh, the event is decillions to one in odds, hence why I'm deemed delusional, and off to mental hospital etc. I did go and see the Can Project though. I met Michael Karoli's son, although I didn't realise at the time when talking that it was him. Irmin Schmidt also walked past me in the street after the show had finished. I patted him on the back, telling him it was a good show, so that was pretty cool. I have a crazy life. It needs to be into a film, and get my autographs tracked back down for me as a result of it being finally known about to the world, like seriously..

@@PEGGLORE Ohh wow... That sounds so rough and fucked up. Are you living on your own right now? It still sounds like you haven't fully recovered, but your writing skills are absolutely amazing. I totally can see your story being translated into a movie similar to Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver, but it's hard to find a director that has the time, money and interest to do such projects. However, you might want to consider writing a novel about your own story. I would definitely read it. :) Please, don't think the world is against you and never try to take revenge for the things that have happened to you. I can hear a lot of anger and sadness in your words, but don't let those emotions overpower you, because I know for sure you're a smart precious human being. Hopefully things will get better soon! :)

@@floris1912 Cheers. I did write a short book about the entire event in the lottery, which is on Amazon Kindle, it's called 'Farcebook'. I had my stroke just before I finished writing it, so had to finish the rest with just my one working hand. It shows how my life is falling apart whilst trying to finish the book of what happened to me in the lottery. Alot of it is quite waffly, stream of consciousness writing though and may not be that fun to read. Of course it needs to be longer now as well with all the stuff that happened after. You can read exactly how the event happened to me in under 15 minutes if you read my very long top comment in this video of mine. It shows one of my world records at a game as well, which is an impressive watch if you like that sort of thing. It's the most fucked up unfair event that's happened to anyone.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XLpodkU9f7Q.html The person who could possibly help and advocate me, and make it into a film is Richard Curtis who I'm also connected to in some crazy ways, sharing this crazy synchronicity with e/o. I'd say that I was meant to be his final film and good deed to the world. Like for eg, my school was the choir in his 1st film Four Weddings and a Funeral. I got fucked over and ended up being the reserve choirboy, if anyone else couldn't make it to the filming. Loads of my friends are in the film and I been sort of bitter about it for over 25 years. He will find that quite mad and feel like he owes me for that for a start. I've been told I need someone like Ben Elton to do my story justice. My mum's cousin went to university with Ben Elton, in the year above him. He was best friends with Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson at university which is mad since they my favourite comedians. But Ben Elton and Richard Curtis wrote Black Adder together. They could join again and help to write my story together I think. So I'm now likely the best player in the world at the Arena segment of this new Scrabble game called 'Scrabble Go'. I took up playing Scrabble after being unable to play video games anymore, so this is a great part of the story. But I recently made a video of me playing this one game in it well, beating this rival woman called KWYJIBO, that video is here.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-osX8B-2yV8s.html But I sent her a game request so I could tell her to watch the video of me beating her at the game. I told her I'm connected to all this crazy stuff, told her I should've been in 4 Weddings and been bitter about it. Um, then she says that I won't like knowing then how she knows Richard Curtis.. WTF!? So she used to live near me in London about 15 years ago. Turns out she dated his nephew when she was here. She even stayed at his Southwold house a few times. Says he's the most humble man she's met and things. well I watched an interview with him and discovered that his most favourite thing in the world is The Beatles. His last film 'Yesterday' was about them. I had to keep turning the trailer off as it obv triggered me so much to see it. He'll feel apologetic about that. But when he discovers who my mum was and how her George Harrison has been stolen, then he very well may want to help me and be my advocate. So yeah, I got to get onto this. Need to sort my sleeping pattern out 1st though and get with the real world, which is proving to be very difficult for me with my extreme insomnia. See what happens..

Rare video footage of a German crowd going crazy over a talented German Rock band with a Japanese singer who can sing in English, German, Japanese and gibberish. And he can also scream like a cat who's tail has just been trodden on.
