Cheers for all the kind comments everyone, keen to give it me all and get back between the tapes. Keep your eyes peeled it’s going to be a wild ride 👊😬
#gmbn Way to go, Richard! Remember that "AGE is just a number" & "no Payne, no gain". I'm 52 years old now and recently joined, along with my son, an xc race (to test my cardio) last April 24th, 2022 since the downhill trails were still closed or maybe no one has organized a race for this year yet. I was Finisher & a Podium placer (8th out of 29 racers for my age 50 and up category for a 12km track). The last race I joined & hung-up my jersey was in 1986 (BMX days) Doddy (my fave tech dude!) & Blake (my "always happy mtb guy") would know that era. Hehehe. "Old mountain bikers never die, they just flow through the trails". - Joebs Pacquing. PS: I'm giving you guys in GMBN permission to print that quote on the back or front of your tees & jerseys for the merch (as long as you print my name next or below the quote). Keep 'em videos coming. Ride safe & stay safe y'all!
This is seriously serious, eh Rich! Thank you for walking us through the phases of your preparation. Lots'a love, cheers, & Mabuhay, from tropical Philippines! #KeepBiking
Dedication is admirable even if you dont win the race, you've win against yourself. There's nothing wrong about challenging yourself to be a better rider and a better human. I'm fighting a desease right now. Looking forward is the only way, always forward.
Great video. And the Fit4 training looks amazing. You will surely get back to where you need to be for the race with their program. Keep up the good (hard) work!
Amazing coach. I've never really liked working out. I've always just done active things that are fun to stay in decent shape (MTB, BMX, Kayaking, etc.) But with a coach like that. I would actually enjoy it. Awesome series.
What a start to your journey to race EWS again. Looking forward to future episodes and good luck Rich 👊 Adam and Elliot are beasts 😂🤘 Great stuff #GMBN 👍
good work! last weekend I did the 24h di Finale Ligure, it's a fantastic event! i was completely out of shape and my only goal was to still be in good health at the end, I "only" did 143km in 24h the lad who won, Cory Wallace, is the world champ, he did over 500km how about doing this race next year (end on may 2023)?
Good luck rich, can’t wait to see you back between the tapes, I saw you at FOD last year, I was pushing up the hill you came flying past I thought you were on an E bike at first!! Nope just E LEGS 😂 keep up the good work!!
@@JB50713 I'm 6 foot even (183cm), somewhere around 165 lbs (75kg), pretty fit, and work with my hands. I would get the 16, 20 ,24 kg set from Kettlebell Kings. Yes they're expensive, but fell so much better than cheap stuff from Crapazon.

Was Rich at Cannock chase last weekend? my other half said she think she spotted him at the trail head while I was out on the trails and she was having a coffee. If not he must have a double she reckons
Hmm I don’t know if Rich can, but it’s possible get him to train in a timely manner, and I am not believing this with Richard to go through this training. I never see myself as an enduro rider, but either a trail or even Xc.
This is getting dangerous. Other channels have lost presenters like that. Let‘s hope it‘s only a Wahoo Ad and Rich stays. Interesting to see how Enduro training is different from what I‘m doing for XCM.
