Before the summer I was eating good, working out 6x a week, and do cardio a few times a week but once I finally got into the pool I got shredded pretty fucking fast

The key is the strict diet. Swimming alone won’t get you ripped, neither will running or going to the gym. Any amount of energy spent / calories burnt means nothing if you’re not properly eating. Swimming, is a great exercise that has very little impact on your joints. I think it’s a great choice 👍🏻.

I remember when I was swimming heavily in my workout routines, I was eating like whatever but swam a mile 3 times a week and did gymnastics twice a week and had almost a 4 pack 😂 trying to start up the swimming again with a cleaner diet to get my dream body, wish me luck.

@Dias currently getting great results trying to balance swimming with tumbling added an extra 30 mins to my swim routine and my diet has been cleaned up a lot as if now I’m about 60% of where I want to be currently filming the process.

I swim ,do weight training, spin class, yoga and jazzercise. As a 63 yo I eat a vegan diet and am careful what I eat.

depends how hard you want it.. usually swimming 6 days + 3-5 weight training sessions per week is standard :)

Hmm lies.. I know 7 guys that got ripped with me doing only 2k a day for 60 days but it was every single day.. Not 1 day was missed.

P. S. I was watching kiddy swimming school on the pool the other day. Kids are toned from the water to the extent, even the chubbier ones ( in some parts of the body at least, arms and legs). I quess swimming all strokes helps, but for best results you have to include land activities sooner or later. And folks have to understand that water sports build muscles differently. You'll never look like on steroids with water only. Oh, and water polo/ lifeguard craul can help as a drill in that sense here and there.

I do 100 laps of a 25-meter pool. I am thinking about incorporating weight training once I reach 90 kgs. I have regulated my food. Not to consume more than 1800 calories per day. I am currently 108 kgs and was 122 about 2 months ago. I didn't regulate my food earlier but now it's better. I'm 6 feet 1.

basically you can put on muscle in calorie deficit diet you just need to consume more protein and less starch rich foods like bread and tortillas and white potatoes some fats are ok.

I’ve also read that due to the pool being lower than body temperature, the body holds onto a certain amount of body fat for insulation.

Ok, swimming can't get you ripped but is it good to lose weight in get back in shape? I am 53, 205 lbs (down from 214), 31% body fat. I used to swim competitively and I just got back in the pool. I can swim 4,000 yards in 1 hour as of now and getting faster each week. My objective is to get down to 175 lbs and cut my body fat in half.

Yeah, you look pretty jacked for a swimmer , but of course like you mentioned , you have to incorporate other exercises.I also need ask you , is there any way I can be really Jacked while adding swimming to my work out regimen?If so , how can I attain such a physique.

@@JustinPatrick hello mate, i've been bulking for a year or so now (inconsistent cuz of school and fatigue issues) but i've still managed to gain like 8 kgs (68 at nearly 5'7 rn) and i'm tryna get into swimming maybe like once a week at school. just wanted to make sure that that wouldn't inherently adversely affect my bulk (pretty sure it could actually benefit it if done correctly and in moderation but just wanna make sure)

I started swimming again after a 6 month away from it. Unfortunately I'm back to being overweight, this time though I've cottoned on to the idea that i keep my heart rate through out at the same pace as i would do if i was fast walking. Somewhere between 120-130 bpm and swim continuously for about an hour and a half-2 hours, very quick breaks to check pulse, clean googles and clear throat. I've not been really hungry after all. I can go alot faster if i want to but that would spike my need to eat alot later , will save that for when I'm lean again. Gym and walking is also on the agenda

I mean, you're right Justin but in reality, there is no single thing that can get you ripped. It's always a mix of dieting and various exercises. People that don't commit and only do a single thing will never improve.

it helps with bloodflow but not really necessary.. a massage or sauna imo is better :)

It also strengthens the immune system, as it gives you months of activity and removes stinginess from the body, as it is considered a preventive treatment for many diseases

The question is: How do you get ripped so fast in your own experiences?. I saw your videos last year and you're fat and strong :))). Now you're thinner and younger. I do love swimming, but I know if I only swim, I'm not gonna have the body form like Olympic athletes.

i have your tipe of body, but it's true what you're saying. Nothing without weight training and other activities. Maybe wider shoulders here and there if you have predispositions, but that's it without gym and stuff. With only swimming i was just skinny.
