If you can't fire a off camera flash on your X100T or XT10 or possible your other Fujifilm camera, here is what you can do. Check out the video and I will show you what the problem could be.
Dude this is exactly what I needed on my X-T100 - I turned off sounds and flash (the menus flash - so I assumed it was that) - drove me made - silly idea not to make this clearer in the manual /menus. Thanks again!
wow that was simple fix! had to return my x-t10 twice to the shop and they just reset my settings to default.. i always set my shutter to MS + ES so thats why i loose flash. Thanks so much!
Thanks ! Saved me a tonne of money! This works for Fujifilm XT4 as well. I switched to Fuji from canon last year and I was still shooting on canon for my professional work. Recently I figured it’s way easier on Fuji, if only I could get my flashes working! Was almost about to give up thinking I’d need new flashes ! But turns out it was just electronic shutter !
Thank you! I should say, given the number of comments here...this setting seems to be more trouble than it's worth. The setting needs to be more clear, and I don't know why I would even need it when there is a flash pop up lever. I can tell the camera if I need the flash or not just by popping it up or not.
You're welcome! Yeah I totally agree with you. I never use the on camera flash but would also be helpful for off camera flash If you have a trigger on the hot-shoe.

I would like to know how to pair it with Fujifilm XT10 and XT3 cameras. I also have a neewer 14 EXT ring flash that works perfectly with the XT10 and I am very happy with it. Thank you for you help! I have never used the Vision2 or VC-818TX but looks like a nice setup. You should be able to just make sure the flash and trigger are on the same channel and are on TTL so they talk to each other.
Also, did you check in the "flash settings" -> "flash function settings" and made sure the flash is not set to "no flash". You might need to change it in there.

Thanks. Fuji really messed up flash function. Discovered that HDR disables flash mode, setup of ES or MS had to be changed, sound enabling needs to be done, which includes for clicks and shutter. I wonder why it has to be so complicated?

Hi, I just got the x100f and I can not fire my flash. I do not have any of the settings in that you spoke about in this video. Could there be something else preventing my flash from going off?
Looks like the X100F has the newer menu system. Are you using the electronic shutter, if so your flash will not fire. Try putting it in Mechanical Shutter mode and see if that helps.
My xt1 sucks quite honestly. I use the little flash it came with, and it will be working, then all of a sudden it doesn’t....And I’m not changing settings; the thing won’t fire all of a sudden and for no apparent reason. I’m sorry I just didn’t get a Nikon DSLR. The auto focus isn’t all that great either.
David's Focus the focus isn’t very good., unless it’s a completely still cooperative subject...You’ll take a pic, everything appears to be in order for a clear pic, and the image when viewed on an iPad, aren’t clear the way they should be. I get great pics, 10-20 percent of the time, if lucky. I’m ready to get an adaptor, and use my old Minolta manual lenses, from my uncle’s old 1960s SLR. I’m sure they manually focus better, and I’ll essentially have what I used when I was young and took a lot of pics, an SLR, but with no mirror, and who knows how that will even work. I’m not Impressed with the XT1 at all, nor was Impressed with the Sony A7 I had... The flash think is frustrating as hell. It just stops working for no apparent reason. If I had the money, I’d RENT an xt2, and or xt3. you never really know until you try it, and now, I at least have a base line for comparison.
