I have a jbl partyboox 100 for the living for ouside sony SRSXB41 and and i order a jbl flip6 when i travel is really light but i was impressed whit the sound is so small and is going so loud , nice reviews i thing depending what you whant for room charge 5 is mental for travel is better flip6

I currently have the JBL charge 5. Wanted the JBL flip 6. But they did not have it in stock at Walmart when I went. The JBL charge 5 is great from my preference but need something smaller when I am out walking

DLX my Charge 5 audio distorts sometimes for 1 or 2 seconds , not frequently..Any way i can fix this? I did the firmware update,resetted it couple of times..but not getting fixed..any suggestion?

I own both speakers. The Charge 5 is better than the Flip 6 in every way. Flip 6 wins only in size. It's better to take it with you.

Flip 6 has better mid to treble definition but bass for the Charge 5

I think the biggest difference is the better bass, especially on high Volume But nevertheless I love the Flip 6 because of the size

The charge 5 is brighter sounding speaker in the first place or stock firmware or maybe slightly better with second upgrade. But rather than that. If you updated it to the Third Firmware or even it's latest firmware version with EQ of the charge 5. The Highs get nearf alot, I've noticed that cuz the Flip 6 get slightly better in the highs at max volume. Charge 5 get nearf alot in high frequencies to cut down Sound frequencies to make enough headroom for the EQ on the charge 5.

I want to know if 2x Flip 6 in party mode would outperform 1x Charge 5, for bass particularly, but also interested if the high's & mid's compare as assuming don't need to push to max to match the volume? Can't believe no one tested this yet that I can find on the net, considering I can pick up 2x Flip 6 for $140 compared to 1x Charge 5 @ $160. I like the idea of portability and stereo option with 2x Flips.... (Edit) I ended up getting 2x Charge 5 on great deal, went to buy the Charge 5 and said how much for 2x and deal done. Very happy in stereo mode, sounds amazing and doing what I wanted to have some amazing sound behind my laptop while doing the "work from home" thing. Main disappointment with the 2x JBL speaker solution is it only works from a phone/tablet. From laptop something to do with master bluetooth device that stops it from allowing Party mode. Bummer. Thanks though to Spotify I play with phone and control/like etc via laptop in this situation. Overall happy but bloody technology always better on paper than reality...

I bought the charge 5 from Best Buy not even a week ago and the next day only the Tweeter Work so I have to change it for a new one And now not even a week later Now the mid range doesn't work if anybody knows how to fix it please tell me

I have watched countless video comparisons on these two speakers and I’m yet not satisfied.. I know the flip is easy to carry around but size is not the criteria here it’s.. Is it worth buying the charge 5? Is the difference Day and Night? Closing your eyes or sitting away from them can you spontaneously tell them apart.. That’s what I wanna know if it’s not hugely different from each other then I think slightly is not enough to buy the charge

Charge 5 is better ofcourse, I have it, and today I buy for my Fiance Flip 6, I can test both side by side, but I need to wait maybe one week for it (is a gift :p), but clearly I can said Flip 6 have good quality :) Im more impressed than Charge 5, the size for this quality in Flip 6 is amazing xd Edit. Flip 6 is great !! Just smaller charge 5 :D

A bigger box and speakers wins every damn time. I'm not sure what the comparison is. You can know this by looking at the specs and size.

The rubber is a very bad concept because it peels in a short time. They will have to come back to the old concept for the Charge 6 because the speaker doesn't even hold in place anymore.

The Flip 6 is half the price of the C5 now. Two of them will have better bass, which pulls them closer to the C5, while providing true stereo and being more flexible (you can take out 1 or 2 speakers). OR, for room use, a Flip 6 plus a JBL subwoofer for the price difference will likely sound better than the C5. Not that either of them would be that great, but for the price they are good.

Personally, i feel flip6 have slight upper edge But in reality charge5 is monster

If you compare especially the last two sound samples, DEFINITELY the Charge 5. More punchier bass and fuller sound.

Guys after 6 years my sony srs xb 30 dead and i immediately bought a jbl flip 6. I can tell you that the sony was way better, the jbl flip 6 has absolutely no bass compared to the sony but if you looking for high hights it sounds good

Which is better flip 6 or charge 5

I have multiple top tier Bluetooth speakers. Unfortunately non of them produce enough volume in a open space without draining the battery rapidly and creating distortion. One would have to pay a fortune to purchase a excellent Bluetooth speaker for open space use and that is not what I am willing to do. A couple of weeks ago I purchased the Charge 5 for use at work because my workplace is open space. I received the TT version which was a disappointment. I was pleasantly surprised at its performance. It doesn't have to be turned up to a high degree to get the level of sound desired and because of that the battery doesn't drain rapidly and the quality of sound is passable. The quality of sound is no where near the Flex which I have 2 of or the B&O A1 gen 2 which I also have but it serves its usefulness for which it is intended.

I bought the charge 5 one week ago, it distorts sometimes when playing music,but not too often. Is this a manufacturing defect? Should i be concerned? Plz help me

No 1 is mentioning the most important thing, the jbl equalizer app ! My charge 5 sounds way better with the treble and bass all the way up and midrange in the middle.

It’s not even that big of a difference… like there’s a big difference between flip 4 and charge 4…

let speakers speak for themselves. the reviewers rather say 2 thousand words without the demo. I think I prefer the sound from the charge 5. seems like the sound opens up and more neutral. flip 6 sounds constrained and too hot up top from what I'm hearing. the 5 sounds a little muffled to my ears, though. $180 for the 5 vs $130 for the 6. I would wait for a sale.
