OMG I wish I could send this video to myself 10 months ago. I worked 3 months on night shift (working for a Latin American company but I was located in China, 13hrs difference, 10pm to 8am). Eventually, I changed my job to a local one, I noticed that I was starting to have mood changes. Anyways, I subbed, awesome content and beautiful accent :)

@@theothershift well keep it up. You’re doing a bang up job and much of your content has improved my quality of life during these night shifts! You’re making a difference! Amazing to see a nurse reach farther than the bedside to help others! Cheers from America!

The video about driving after working an overnight shift came up on my recommendations. Could not have come at a better time cause I was working 3 12s during days and was suddenly asked to switch to overnights. I had not worked an overnight shift in 15 years so my first drive home after work was pretty hair raising. Didn't have any close calls but I definitely felt that I should not be driving at all. Watched several of your videos and the information in here is definitely invaluable to people like us. I don't have blackout curtains but I do have a facemask that fits around like a headband and is pretty secure. As soon as I get home the only things I do is change into comfortable clothes, drink some chamomile tea and melatonin and do everything I can do avoid any last minute activities that might stimulate me. If I suddenly remember I forgot to do something or want to do something later I quickly write it on a sticky note to avoid the temptation of using the smartphone. Look forward to seeing the rest of your videos!

Thanks for your kind feedback about our videos. If we can make even just one person's transition between shifts just that bit better, it makes us feel so good. Please be in touch if we can be of any more assistance.

Worked swing shift, 3-11 pm for 25 years. Going back to days and sitting in a meeting 2 hours before daylight has been the longest year of my life. Our dayshift goes in at 5 am which has me getting up at 3:30 am. It’s been absolutely miserable. Thank You for your ideas and I’ll try the blue light lenses.

Very frustrating I work two day shifts and two 12 hour night shifts. Sometimes I can’t get more than 4-5 hours sleep. I just won’t fight it

This working arrangement can be so tough. I'm feeling you. Keep exploring different aids such as the ones I talk about here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5Fzb5laLWN0.html and different routines before bed. Hopefully, you will find your groove soon!

I’d rather just go find a new job. I was lied to by my employer when I interviewed for the position 3 months ago. I was specifically asked if I could work nights and I told them that I don’t mind working nights here and there but that I don’t do nights permanently and on top of that I have a wife who is 8 months pregnant and a 4 yr old at home with paper thin walls. I’ve now found myself trapped in a 6pm-5am work schedule and it’s now past 9am and I can’t sleep. This isn’t natural and people were not meant to live like this. This is horrible, I need to go back to mornings before I snap.

Hi. Sorry to hear you've been messed around. This shift defiantly takes some adjusting, particularly if you don't have a choice. If you've got any specific questions please let me know and I'd be happy to help where I can.

Perfect tips. Totally agree thinking less of time makes you relax and fall asleep faster it's like just feel the vibe of the moment and relax, consequently sleep comes along! Where did you get those blocking light glasses? Do you have a link where I can purchase and be shipped to Greece? The ones I find are not so nice in design are like the ones construction workers use 😅😅

Technically you're keeping me awake at this point lol, I work 10 pm to 7 am and average about 4 hrs a day of sleep, and I'm still awake (230 pm) watching youtube videos.
