I might be crazy on this, but I think I remmeeber seing the first tekken in the arcade, obviously arcade stick, and therefore the ps1 just a port anyway.
That would make sense. The first time I ever saw a PS1 up and running in a store, it had the original Tekken on it. That is probobly why I think of it as a Playstation series.
