Hi Jerry, thank you for this video and your hints and observations. I would like to add some hints in addition. 1.) Some users does have an issue because the PC doesn‘t recognize the Legend. The most Laptops have a build in USB hub. Some of those hub‘s are not supported by the Legend driver. If you have this issue try all ports. Mostly only one them will work. 2.) Never try to do an update on a Nokta Detector without the original coil connected to the detector! Happy detecting!🍀
I agree ,the coil should always be connected when doing the update regardless of what people say. USB hubs are not a good idea either since they are passive and not powered they lack the support to recognize powered devices. Going USB direct is always the best option. Thanks for your input MT
That is correct, however some have been experiencing "no sound, when connecting the USB cable, which is why I stated to continue with the install. thanks for the feedback Susan!! Go bananas in the Field!
Email me at Jerrytheminingmonkey@gmail.com and email me your cell and I'll call you I can remote into your computer and I can update it for you. Probably something simple.
What is Up everybody!! CORRECTION 4/6/22 IN THE VIDEO I HAD INCORRECTLY STATED THAT THE SIMPLEX CABLE AND LEGEND CABLE ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE, THAT WAS AN INACCURATE STATEMENT THAT I HAD TAKEN FROM ANOTHER PERSON. NOKTA MAKROS WEBSITE CONFIRMS NOT ONLY ARE THE 2 INTERCHANGEABLE, OTHER MODELS CABLE CAN ALSO BE USED. In fact there are 5 models that can use the same cable. www.noktadetectors.com/accessoire/usb-charger-data-cable/ Part Number: 17000560 Description: USB Charger & Data Cable Compatible Models The Legend Simplex+ Anfibio Gold Finder 2000 Gold Kruzer Some people are having issues updating their Nokta Makro Legend Detectors, Why? Have you browsed to the file you downloaded? It's a bin file the says LEGEND_v1.05.bin ,if you can see the file extension .bin if you can't see the .bin extension then the file you need to look for is LEGEND_1.05 once you find that file the machine is looking for follow the rest of the steps. Hope that helps
I downloaded the bin file from Noktas website ,it's under software updates www.noktadetectors.com/metal-detector/the-legend/ Once you download it, you have to unzip or extract the file simply by right clicking the folder and select extract.jist remember where your file is.
Thanks for that quick of a response my brother. It was a LOT faster than getting my unit in my hands LOL. I am not even turning mine on except to do the updates from how I just pulled it from the box. It won`t have to adjust from my interference .
@mike cunningham welcome Mike, lol. not sure if you saw dileks latest update, but she pretty much told all the users to "UPDATE". there is one bug where the machine will freeze up and you cant do anything with it. the update fixes that bug and much more.
Great question, in short, No, You cannot update it back to ver 1.04, maybe there will be an update for it,but highly doubt it,due to the positive overall improvements of the machine vs 1.04
