Jason and I attempted a fishing trip recently. The fish were beginning to gather and move towards the creek, but I suspect the water was too cold for optimal fishing. It was the coldest water we've ever experienced. After spending about three hours in the lake, we were shivering uncontrollably and took quite some time to warm up afterward. The snowpack in this area appears to be normal for this time of year. I've visited this lake in the past when it was still frozen over. Given the current conditions, I predict the lake will be perfect for fishing in about two weeks.
