I'm not the biggest fan of Tone, but here's two little tips I learned from playing her: 1) Her salvo core is guided by where you're aiming. You can shoot all the missiles straight up in the air, and then look down and aim at an enemy titan, and the titan will be bombarded by a hail of missiles from above. If they're in the air long enough before hitting an enemy, you can even build your 2nd core with the 1st core's missiles. It's totally busted lmao 2) Since her non-core missiles are tracking, you can actually shoot them from around a corner. Once you establish a lock, you can look in a different direction and the missiles will travel a bit in that direction before turning towards the target. It's enough to go around the corner of cover, or travel up and over the roof of a short building. Edit tip number 3: Your main gun on Tone isn't automatic. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when you shoot your gun you're holding down the trigger like you would with other titans, right? You can shoot much faster if you tap the trigger for each bullet.
Lol, I was waiting for a round in titanfall 2 and saw this video, the thing u said where u point ur Salvo core to the sky, and rain hell on to the enemy Titan, so I thought to give it a try and it worked perfectly😂
As much as I hate tone, you can't call her the most basic titan. Tone gameplay: Shield Shoot shoot shoot Rocket Shield dies Run away Legion gameplay: g u n
Adequate may not, but I will disagree with "g u n." In short: Legion is all about timing. You need to utilize every bullet to the fullest in order to keep you enemies under fire by getting your core ASAP. That is a crazy-short summary, btw. Tone is pew pew pew, chchchchch, unless the wall is gone. Then you just run. Sonar = lazy button.
There's a couple tone features that aren't well known. Shoot missiles around corners. And firing salvo into the air, you can then direct them. So if facing another tone you don't have to fire and waste salvo on their shield or legions shield. Send your missiles up and down and behind up their ass. It's hard to miss pilots when using burst fire, either directly or with splash damage. It's a great titan.
33:00 When I was new to the game, nuke eject was the meta choice because you could instantly get your titan back. I started using phase shift for the very issue you are having here. About Tone in FD: Tone excels in open maps like the first one you played. You should lock many titans at one time and then fire the missiles. Use this strategy in combination with sonar pulse to lock in the missile locks and damage buff at the same time. Shoot rockets in a direction that helps them get around potential obstacles. This is crucial for all Tone gameplay. I see others mentioning this in the comments. Tone's aegis upgrades do three things. 1. They help him get more locks faster. 2. They increase the damage of your entire team. 3. They help you live longer. Due to #1 and 2, I recommend using sonar re-pulse. This makes locks easier to get without line of sight (which is great since you can shoot missiles over/around things) and, I think, slightly increases the duration of the damage buff. You will also need to reload less because you sonar does more work. Another good kit is the one that gives you more missiles. For the general kit, I think Counter Ready is super underrated. Having the core sooner is nice, but you don't really need it 20% more. Smoke is OP in FD because enemies stop shooting you when you use it. It also deals damage to everything that moves into it which allows easier killing of drones as well as general multi-tasking. The best use is for survivability. Tone's splasher rounds and double ammo capacity upgrades make him a menace to small enemies as well. I love your video format, btw.
Honestly, Monarch feels like the “basic” Titan, but it’s okay. You can customize it the way you want, and it has great survivability, but unlike the 40mm cannon, the primary just acts like a regular AR. Tone however is not basic. While I’d rather have Brute, Salvo Core is a certified Titan Killer that any titan rightfully fears, and the whole point of Tone is to dump as many missiles as possible from behind a tanky wall, and which even Legion can’t do without eating damage; Northstar is way too exposed during Core to compare. Tone can hold space better than Legion when played right, and I don’t engage player Tones unless I have a Ronin, Scorch, or Northstar. If you play Tone like an NPC, you’ll get bodied. Play it like a real pilot, and you’ll clean house. The only way to beat Tone is to get in its face with Scorch and Ronin or out DPS it, which if it is hitting its missiles, only Northstar can.
Fun fact about Northstar, if you activate her VTOL hover and then immediately activate her core, the hover won't raise you any higher so you can use Northstar's core while you're basically still on the ground but only if you do it fast enough
Spam that sonar ping. Everyone benefits from the extra damage when do we ping is active which means that teammates are also more effective when you’re using it
200th subscriber for any titan kit i suggest looking on the wiki, many have other characteristics, others don't work as intended (NEVER select northstar cluster missile upgrade)
Ah that's so cool, was wondering who it was. Initially I try to stay away from looking at any so called "meta" loadouts and just see what I naturally gravitate towards.
Tone really loves buddying up with another Titan and locking down the lane together. Monarch less so, and Ronin should be no where near you though. 25% increased damage on an entire block of Titans paired with Scorch is monstrous. If you are lone wolfing a lane however you want to paint as many targets as possible, then ping them if possible, then fire some sort of missile attack. That's her most efficient rotation, I find. Finally, the Particle Wall kit is her best for extending her longevity. Park with a good long sight line, deploy shield, cackle maniacally as the Titans cannot break through you
While i must agree that tone is basic and apparently boring (which i disagree with) shes not bad, in fact shes hella good, the damage output is nuts and you have a huge ass shield
No such thing as a dumb question. For this thumbnail I used a font called Bebas Neue which I had to download from Adobe Fonts. Then the other font I use is the standard Impact font. I hope this helps :)
People say that Tone is basic and sure whatever I respect your opinion but in mine Tone is a fucking Nightmare to play because Titan all 2 has been around so long EVERYONE knows how to counter Tone not to mention how needed into the ground she's been and sometimes it feels like the moment she spawns in EVERYONE just locks on her maybe this is true for everyone or maybe its just the crazed rambling of a salty Tone main I don't care what you think but for the love of GOD stop saying that she's: "Easy to play" And "Oh she takes no skill" Cause trust me take 1 ROUND of playing here and you will experience hell on earth trying to stay alive.
