They don't usually survive the narrow aspirations of their publishers. If it weren't for EA's behavior, Titanfall 2 would probably be more widely played. You'd see Esports events about it, but EA doesn't let people do that with their products. Like, Valve encouraged and paid people to mod their games, and CSGO and Dota2 are some of the most played competitive games that exist. Most gamers don't like them, but the ones who do are allowed to love those games fully and make communties out of them. If EA did what Valve did, we'd have Mass Effect and Mirror's Edge communities that you could visit and be a part of, just like those long standing communities in Gmod and Skyrim or GTA RP. At a certain point, EA took so much control away from users that none of this happened. And people are still trying. Northstar is an amazing achievement and if EA just gave their damned blessing to the team, it could be so much more to so many more people. These communties are not finite things, every game can and does have a seed of love and harmony. Its down to their owners whether they let that seed grow and add to human society.

@@Attaxalotl no, apex got DDOSed before and they fixed it WITHIN AN HOUR. the DDOS attacks were only fatal to titanfall 1 and 2 because Respawn didn't care about it. even if they find a way to make the DDOS attacks fatal to apex, it'll get fixed, DDOSing apex won't draw their attention to titanfall. they'll just fix apex and then move on.

i wouldn't say the necessarily it's not like advanced warfare and titanfall were released that far apart. they were developed around the same time and released in the same year. i think advanced movement was more of a thing for cod because people kept complaining the games were too similar (even though it was fine and nobody knew what they were asking for, much like people who wondered about the lack of sprint in halo before reach and 4 started to show how its more of a negative for halo). people used to complain how cod lost its identity before modern warfare 2019 but its more on the fault of those who asked for change without really knowing what that would mean for the series given people just asked for change without saying what they wanted changed specifically.

@@mattywell1821 was that ever confirmed they made apex legend as and experiment to see what they could bring to the table in a battle royale and just used titanfall assets to save time and apparently ea liked it. Also remember they where also working on fallen jedi as there main project at the time and now it's medal of honor vr so I don't think tf3 was ever in development

I loved parts of apex but the br part I didn’t like then someone said that titanfall 2 is free on ps plus and it’s like apex but a multiplayer and u can summon titans and I instantly downloaded my ps plus has run out but before it did I was playing the game at least 2 hours a day

Releasing your MP focused shooter the day between a CoD and Battlefield release should've gotten whoever made the decision fired from Respawn

Scorch is god tier, 9 times out of 10 I come 1st in titan kills and titan damage done. It's all about using those flame wall and canisters wisely so you can trap your enemy in so they're left with nowhere to run but straight into your flames or straight at you where you can melt them with the flame shield and drop an electric smoke on em. If you know how to use him he is easily one of the deadliest titans
