I don't know if this counts as technology. But I'm old enough to know when wide-body rackets came out. I went from a Yonex R-22 to an RQ-180 and that was the birth of power in my game. The RQ-180 is a beast compared to many modern day frames (about 370g strung weight)

Regarding the backhand debate, I feel Borg is somewhat overlooked. He had this kinda hybrid 2 and 1 backhand. He drew back and drove through with two hands but on contact released and followed through with 1 hand. So he kinda got the power and the shape/angle. I'm surprised we've never seen anything like that since.

Kyrgios definitely adds weight. Specifically, lead under the bumper guard at the top. There is proof posted on your forums that show it when he shatters his racquets.

45:50 Maxime Cressy does he has 2 different rackets he uses 1 on serve 1 on return. Do think that is just a change in tension though compared to 2 completely different rackets

I got 2 v14s 97 from tennis-point. What am I missing by not trying to get pro stock version? What is the stiffness of pro staff v14 97 vs old pro staff classic 6.0 from the 90s

I saw an atp doubles player, I don't remember the name, who changed racquets to serve or to receive. It became obvious in the tiebreak 😀

The universal problem in tennis is the ball above your shoulder on the backhand. If anyone had figured it out Rafa would’ve probably had trouble

@Tennis Warehouse what racquet would be best for a counter puncher? i like hitting winners off my opponent's first and second serves and winners on the run. i have a topspin forehand and slice backhand.

Are you looking for any particular headsize? or weight range? Reason I ask is the racquet recommendation will vary depending on playing level and preferences. That said, I am a big fan of the EZONE 98+ (it has a higher swingweight) but a nice blend of power, precision, and that swingweight helps with stability of re-directing the ball and getting easier depth on shots. I think the EZONE line in general is a good place to choose from, if you want more power there is the 100 or 100+, and if you don't want a higher swingweight, the 98 is nice and fast. I would also consider racquets like the Head Speed MP or Pro, Head Gravity MP XL, Prince Textreme Tour 100 290 or 310, are some good ones to check out. However if you have a certain preference for specs, or provide a certain playing level we could maybe help narrow things down more so. Troy, TW

So what did the panel conclude? Is it worth buying pro stock rackets for recreational players? To me, it seems it’s an added expense that’s not necessary. Why spend $100 more per frame when the benefit is negligible at best?

First I’ve heard of this. I will start paying closer attention during his matches. I don’t see much of a benefit for him being that his serve isn’t a major weapon.

the paint job on the 6.1 100 sucks. it chips off just by looking at it. I have rackets from the 90s and played every day for 2 hours with that look better than this 6.1 that I bought on black friday. and by look better, i mean have more of their paint intact. also, half the grip peeled off when i changed the first overwrap on it. PS i only play an hour a week these days. so maybe 10 hours of use with tihis racket.
