On this map 6SA certainly is not bad at all. I think the weaker infantry in the current infantry meta is what gives it a bit of bad fame.

@@tiagodagostini It doesn't have weak infantry at all. Its main problem is its number of good infantry.

At higher levels the gameplay of each player becomes very noticeable. Playing the game with commander is a playstyle preference, it does work.

Not a big fan personally, it’s a really tough division because the infantry are quite bad

Yeah, Fireflies are very cost efficient for what they can do to axis armor

I feel offmap is almost mandatory for the Forest/city on top of the hill though. Or some intensive mortars micro.

Not due to shell quality. Just that the soviet tank had a shell with larger filler (that reduce average density and therefore penetration. The 85mm was quite more deadly when it penetrated than the US 76 mm (as in making the whole vehicle non recoverable)

They didn't make it weak. The 150mm at 100 meters penetration value is using the M79 armor-piercing round, which was a single solid shot round with no filler. The production of this round was ceased in 1942 in favor of the capped and filler-carrying M62, which had lower penetration values roughly accurate to the 76mm's performance in game and which constituted the overwhelming majority of AT ammunition issued to 76mm guns in the ETO. This is to be expected, as despite its higher penetration capacity up close the M79 was a poor round, with rapid penetration drop-off- inferior to the M62 past a kilometer- and a tendency to shatter which made it fail miserably against targets it should have penetrated on paper. It was illustrated briskly in a firing test against captured Panthers at Isigny in July 1944 when it performed worse than the M62. TLDR: the 150mm figure belongs to a rare, no longer produced ammunition type that had a lot of asterisks attached to that penetration value.

@tiagodagostini Not sure if he first picked or not, if he did though 6thSA was a pretty solid counterpick. I wouldn't have picked a heavy armour deck on this one to be fair but I can see why people would.

@atkpwrgaming I know right, that being said my favourite Div is 6th Airborne just because it feels like the most well rounded commonwealth division in the game, shame the Challengers are a bag of ass, would rather they just gave it some fireflies.
