There is not class in how SA play rugby watch how many times their forwards dive into mauls? And how often do you hear many classy comments made about SA from renown critics? @@rhysharvey2121 study their game properly! When you see SA forwards starting to reach for air a forward will be injured. The All Blacks are perfect in running the SA forwards all over the field. That’s why that game took 107 minutes also no cohesion for the All Blacks.why would SA take 14 forwards to the 1 game. By 8 minutes into the second half SA replaced half their forward pack.

The boks are a better side than they were 4 years ago, people fail to comprehend that, they have evolved, they are not the same side play wise, developed more depth and this is the one they plan to win anyway, they have more game breakers than they had previously, better balanced, should they beat everybody else in group play,they will even be more harder to stop, They are built for world cups as Wilson rightfully conceded, France, Ireland are good sides but the Springboks will lift on perfomance once they get into the play offs, one senses that they could atleast lift 3 notches up physically if needs be..The All blacks are just not the All blacks of old under Foster, there's no aura whatsoever, not to say they can't win the world cup but it will take some doing though.

I said this at a pub in 2021 in Pretoria, the argument back then was that Ireland was a better team and will win the world cup, but i argued that they will not go through the quarterfinals, i simply said that they just don't know how to win, in a once off match against the Springboks, i said they will not win a d further said that no one van beat the Rassie erasmus led Springboks in a slugfest in world rugby, because of their environment, South Africa are the only team who do not necessary need form heading into a tournament, they proved that against England in the semi finals when they were at their worst, they just don't get credit only because they are the Springboks, nothing else,they don't get credit,they won 3 world cup tournaments away from home and 1 at home, without any shadow of a doubt, they are the greatest rugby world cup side of all time, they have played the least amount of world cup tournaments amongst tier 1 nations and won it the most, So going back to my statement,they just know better than most how to play knock.out rugby better,in a once off,currently no one can beat the Springboks, not this group.they are just that good.

Everyone is missing the hard truth that the ABs gameplay has changed dramatically since the South African exit of Super Rugby. The truth is while South Africa have played in European tournaments, NZ was now left with smaller island nations to strengthen their game. ABs were at their best when they were playing South African teams in Super Rugby.

What we've realised about the NZ pundits, they seem to be the elites in NZ. They put on a good front re their bias and apparently deep seated dislike of certain rugby nations. Last week we saw the mask slip and they showed who they really are. Unable to give credit where it's due not able to appreciate a team on the rise, not able to admit their team's shortcomings at that game. It was apparent when the masks slipped, how they looked down on other rugby nations, especially SA. Not one contradicted the other last week . This week, the masks were firmly back on. Keep your disingenuous compliments. Let the rugby do the talking.

Agree mate. The Boks threw the game away by not kicking out the ball - France got penalty , kicked for touch and then mauled over for a try. Ireland beat us by scoring a try because the flanker entered the ruck from offside position , quick turnover and then they scored out wide. We beat both teams but the score didn’t reflect that. We didn’t even have a proper kicker. In the end the World Cup is all that matters and we are in a very strong position.

The commentators attitudes are rather ignorant - they are still commentating like SA have not substantially upped their game. Before the Boks played predictable forwards based 10 man box kick rugby. But as we have seen in the last few matches, the Boks have varied their attack substantially, both within the backs and within the forwards. That's bloody hard to defend against if the set pieces are being dominated.

To be honest, the AB's are a dark horse rather than a favorite. France, Ireland and SA looking much better right now. The pundits are basing their strength of the AB's off of a home game against SA. Meanwhile they almost lost to Australia, lost to France, drew against England and have been 1/5 against Ireland. An All Black final should be a surprise rather than expected.

@saffainaus7667 If that were true which I don’t believe to be so, any dislike for the situation he found himself in, (not hatred for the opposition) would be completely understandable, the way you poisoned him so badly on that Thursday in 1995, that his preparation was utterly destroyed, and he was still spewing on the field for the final, so he had to be replaced before halftime. Why the hatred for Jeff? Is it because he was normally such a great finisher. God told us to love our fellow man, great rugby player or not. Makes me wonder who is your god ! It wasn’t the beating that hurt him, but the poisoning. Try and have some empathy for him, if you find it at all possible. The whole of New Zealand was in shock re what some human beings could do to others just to have them beaten in a game. They were used to the ratbags driving around the hotel car parks all night screeching their tyres so the ABs couldn’t sleep, but not poisoning. Who would think to take precautions for that ? As it turned out, the kiwi naivety ultimately contributed to SA anniversary celebrations.

Wilson never won the world cup. He started in the 1995 final which NZ lost (he was replaced early in 2nd half), and played in the team which choked and lost the semi to France in 1999. Seems to me that he still feels frustrated about those losses.

Through poor AB discipline, you played against 13/14 of us for most of the game - get some perspective. Lomax was injured early, Frizzel and Retallic, 2 key enforcers were not playing. You should focus on getting out of your pool - the ABs only need 3 big games - we will be at the qtrs weather we win or lose to France. 🤣

You played 14 because of discipline. And if you don't get with it, you will be out of contention, done. Unfortunately, the northern standard was set, and all revs will be cognizant on how to blow the AB`s. The Boks just capitalized on your own mistakes. Every other team will try what the Boks did to win against them. I really hope they come through, because it would be a shame if the best is not at the top. Not the lucky, but the best.

Hi Jeff, you cannot compare Kolisi with the no 7 of the All Blacks. Your no 7, such an experienced player, did not even give the Springboks a chance to win the 2023 World cup ! That is how much he knows the game. I don't have to say anything about Kolisi because every one knows the quality of the person. I don't question the quality of your no 7 as a person... I question his knowledge about the game and almost one-track minded mentality. It is a shame because he was such a good player ( a few times overly keen and being off side) and he did not show 'smartness' about the game before the world cup. Strange, the best flyhalf of the AB ( as what the Kiwis believe) , also did not give the Springboks a chance.
