I think a passive buff for Mowz should be every enemy upon her recruitment has their rate of carrying badges/items increased. As a THIEF it would make sense she would want the opportunity to steal as many things as she could. (I'd even make Kiss Thief stun enemies she steals from) I also think Tease should be reworked to another status like Slow, since slow isn't a common status it would make it unique and wouldn't just be a Dizzy Dial. In compensation for low overall power make Love Slap reward the highest SP while making her first two hits a multihit. Smooch I completely agree.

Interesting. i don't quite see the logic in Kiss Thief or Tease doing damage, but the others would help a considerable amount.

I honestly think a good buff for Mowz regarding Kiss Thief would be, when the player recruits her the chances of enemies holding items by let's say 30%. Then when using Kiss Thief when said item and badge are successfully stolen the enemy becomes stunned. Also make it to where it no longer has hammer range As for Tease either make it confuse status or weak spread damage that confuses, essentially a slightly buffed Infatuate. Or hell give her the slow status with Tease, since it would be a unique status for her and would set it apart from other status options, since it wouldn't just be a dizzy dial. She would still be the worst partner, but have some niche utility options.

I never knew she was a partner until after doing every other quest. An anonymous message to me sounded like I'd get jumped. lol

She's actually not that bad if you know when to use her.

Ye. Says a ton about Mowz's viability that she has to exploit badges to such an extreme degree to function. On the bright side, it's the closest any partner gets to just turning on creative mode. And Minecraft from what I hear is fun!

As I mention at the end of the video, I did use coins to buy items. My thought process was to only buy items I could legitimately steal, but I would steal at least one item as proof of Mowz having the option provided she could for that point in the game. So I couldn’t cheat the challenge by buying Slow Shrooms for example if I couldn't demonstrate where the item could be scavenged.

@PhantomAarantula technically, she could steal a mega rush P from an enemy, and then that means you're free to get a bazillion of them from the casino and have Ms. Mowz deal around... so much damage that being near her will cause one to turn to dust.

@@JadeTheProtogen1 Power Rush Ps, yes. Mega Rush Ps however can only be stolen aside from the one found in Petalburg and are more than twice as strong as Power Rush Ps. It's pretty darn cathartic, too.

@JadeTheProtogen1 I am guessing you're referring to Fatguy703. Hard to tell, I have also done a no damage challenge in TTYD and didn't opt to use the pianta parlor.

If my sanity wasn't already scarred by Pokémon, I'd be more affected by this run I feel. LMAO. I do agree regarding Mowz being underpowered though.

The badges are her business. But pack rats have tons of items just for them.

And it's all grounded only, one at a time, that's actually the worst part, as most companions are only good late game if they can hit all enemies on screen, or multiple, but no, she's honestly worse than Mario, which shouldn't be the case. They should be equal or outright better.

Flurrie is objectively better than Ms. Mowz, no.

Goombario would be marginally better than Goombella for not needing a badge to use charge (though the Multibonk bug could make him potentially worse unless it was assumed to be fixed) Kooper would be strictly worse than Koops having to lose Shell Shield while Dizzy Shell has a status that's much worse in TTYD and a fire element isn't strong against any bosses. Bombette lacks Bomb Squad and so would need items for Cortez, but otherwise should be able to manage fine. Though the Glitz Pit would be a bit of trouble since she's not going to be able to hurt airborne enemies until after Chapter 5. Parakarry would be fine. May struggle to efficiently do damage though. Bow would benefit significantly from partner badges existing much like Yoshi, but otherwise faces trouble from bosses with high defense like Dark Bones, Bowser, and Gloomtail as well as bosses with multiple targets like Grodus and the Shadow Queen. Watt would struggle with Chapter 8 a lot because of lacking moves that hurt multiple targets at once and unlike Ms. Mowz, can't jack her power up with badge farming so she could easily be outpaced. Sushie's a similar story to Parakarry, but better defense and a much better AOE. Lakilester would be heavily reliant on having lots of FP for the REALLY late game and has the slowest rate of damage to single targets. Odds are he'd be reliant on Cloud Nine to finish fights at a reasonable level. But hey, that's just my 2 cents.

People aren't mad (as far as I know), it's just a proven fact that Ms. Mowz is generally the worst partner to use for battle.

The damage is static. Depending on the element of the item and the vulnerability of the target though, the damage could increase, do nothing, or even restore HP.

@@PhantomAarantula Sooooo let's say you use a fire flower on a fire enemy. It wouldn't be absorbed and transferred to the HP? Wait is the HP regained related to the damage of the item?

@riolu1 A fire enemy would heal HP if hit by a fire flower, that is correct.

I answer this in my most recent video better than I probably will be able to here, but you flat out cannot defeat him in the first encounter. His HP will be set back up to 10 and any remaining actions you have will continue to be used that same turn where Quinn Tuple-questin Mark fights as Mario's silhouette.

I'm having a hard time trying to parse what you said. But I think the first sentence completely misses the point of what a challenge run is supposed to be. Why should TTYD be the exception for forcing Yoshi to be used in Chapter 3 when other challenge runs specifically look into methods to skip otherwise roadblocks?
