Seems reasonable at 25Kg. Looks like a solid grocery getter or commuter. Would you be able to change the cassette to increase top end speed and to climb a steeper hill? Just curious as I know nothing about electric bikes.

I have found that range can vary due to conditions of weather, terrain, rider weight and riders fitness. I purchased a Raleigh Motus step through frame 500watt battery Bosch motor and Shimano 8 speed hub gears Raleigh stated the bike had a 100 mile range. I’m in my mid 70s 6’2” and when I got the bike I was 102kg in weight. At that time I wasn’t bike fit and I live in a hilly area. I found I was using high power levels when out on my rides. The battery read out does not give a% of battery use when in use it shows 5 bars for a full battery. When first got the first bar would drop off about 15miles. I found I wasn’t using eco mode very often. As the months went by I was using the bike most days and I found my fitness level improving week by week. I then notice I was using eco more and more and on hills where I was using sport mode I am now using tour and of course where tour was used I now use eco. On recent rides where we have had nice sunny weather conditions and doing 25 mile rides on mixed hills and level roads I have found that the first bar dropping off has been at 23 miles. Note I’m talking miles and not km. when the bike was bought it’s read out was in km but I got the shop to change it to miles. The furthest I have ridden the bike in one go is 40 miles withe bike showing 3 bars left on the battery read out. I have not taken the battery to the end of its charge, as I have followed Bosch’s instructions, they state even if I’ve only done 10 miles put it on charge when I get back, if I’m not going to use the bike for some weeks then run it down to about 60% for storage. These are just some of my findings on my ebike use.

My concerns with Eskute ebikes: Brakes Mechanical rather than hydraulic Only 15 day return? Especially having to put it together yourself. General concerns: One of My main concern getting any e-bike is security and not getting it nicked from my home. That and riding it on roads where car drivers can be assholes and not give space when overtaking.
