I gotta respect how the animators so clearly had no idea how to animate walk/run cycles, but they sure didn’t let that stop them

you know it's gonna be a banger episode when you can HEAR Arin's shit-eating grin through the screen knowing he's about to fuck with Dan for half an hour

I love that Dan's first quiet mumbled "whatthefuckishappening" just *unleashes* Arin's pretense absolutely

My favorite part is how they never faded the "suspenseful" music out and just put new music over it.

"I love English as a second language Lion King" fucking killed me. This episode was a fever dream.

Half the fun of this is imagining the stunned, absolutely horrified-into-silence look on Dan's face

Dan's initial "What the hell." followed by Arin losing his shit when the meat of the game began makes this ALL worth it. The rest is just icing on the cake.

I'm high as a fucking kite right now and let me tell you, 3:18 when that chicken shuffled, that was one of the most horrifying experiences I've ever had. It was like fucking reality was splitting apart like in Spiderverse, and for a millisecond, it broke my brain so hard that I almost fell out of my chair in pure primal existential fear.

Allow me to give a history of this "game" because trust me it is crazy. So in 1992 a company called Dingo Pictures (originally Media Concept) was founded in Germany and they produced various cartoons doing crappy redraws of Disney or Don Bluth characters. They made multiple films many of which had sort of English dubs done by their crew which are awkward and goofy. You may remember their other work from their movie "Dinosaurs" which the Italian dub spawned the "Yee" meme. These films had a vaguely connected universe mostly because Dingo were lazy and would not only reuse characters but also their names from film to film. Animal Soccer World was in a sense their big cross over movie and was vaguely based on the soccer scene from Bed knobs and Broomsticks. These movies were all mostly released in Europe with US ones mostly being in dollar stores or other bargain bin stuff. They also are well known for having some rather inappropriate lines for a kids film like "what the hell is going on here" and "I can't find my damn hair brush". Oh and in their film Janis the Little Piglet they showed a pig chopped up into food. Some time in the early 2000s they found another way to get these films out was by partnering with Midas Interactive and Phoenix Games who slapped these films onto game disks (and later cards in the case of the DS releases) in order to sell them in stores in order to make a quick buck. They would also randomly slap numbers on these movies leading to 2 "Lion and the King" films which are the same movie and their 2 Dalmatians movies being released twice each. Animal Soccer World was a unique one though as it didn't have the "regular" Dingo English cast but instead was done by a currently unknown group and are often referred to as the "East West dubs" because they appear on a lot of DVD releases from the company East West. These dubs were even lazier than the original as they would simply play the movie while a few people who barely understood English and tried to vaguely say the lines in somewhere around the right time. The other films that got this treatment were there Wabbu movie (Wabbu is a rip off of Miko from Pocahontas) and their longest film "Alladin" (their rip off Aladdin movie). They also are extra lazy by playing a little music loop over the entire movie and leaving the original film audio in there (minus voices except for when they are lazy) as editing the audio was a no go. They would just do it in one long take and leave in obvious repeated lines as if they were ever going to edit them. Animal Soccer World is the only game release of one of these dubs making it the one people have seen the most as the others are rather rare. And that is a brief history of the Dingo Pictures rabbit hole. If you read this far thank you for indulging my encyclopedic knowledge of this nonsense.

Im really late to the party guys but the funniest part about this to me is that arin is a professional voice actor and an animator while dan is a musician. So this is getting experienced by professionals and they are baffled after all these years of games

Quick story about this: This is actually a film made by a no-budget animation studio called Dingo Pictures (from Germany). They hit upon the business idea of selling their garbage by slapping together some minor minigames (coloring and slide puzzles mostly) as extras and then marketing them for the PS2 with the help of Midas Interactive and Phoenix Games.

Watched this exact video multiple times while I was in the hospital following my open heart surgery. Helped me laugh through the pain, literally. It became a comfort for me, I would even listen to it to help me fall asleep despite the many tubes and wires connected to my body and the incessant beeping of various machines next to me. I doubt the grumps will see this, but I hope they know how important their videos can be for some people, no matter how small the impact is.
