In cooking class we used to always put shallots, white wine (or other alcohols depending on the sauce) and cream most of the time. That's a classic french gastronomy recipe for a great sauce :-).

My mom can’t cook worth a damn! She’s the kind of person to burn water. My dad cook almost all the meals for us, and he taught me how to cook. Now I’m the chef of the family, and when I go to visit I almost always make at least a few meals and bread.
