Recently got a Mevo 2nd hand - v interesting albeit not 100% accurate in all measures (carry distance) compared to what I see on the course, but v helpful nonetheless as a way of comparing e.g. swing speed as I try different swing variations. It’s superb in the way it records your swing so you can watch them back - feel v real! Showed me immediately my habit of adjusting grip immediately prior to starting my backswing, & in turn I could see the slight close of club face at the same time - no surprise that I pulled some shots that day🙈. Great vid Alex👍
A straightforward presentation. Highly interesting. I was not too much ready to get the Arccos system pack so this Blast training aid could inspire me more. Thanks a lot for your help 😉.
I own one of the Blast devices I think it is a great device for the average golfer Great price Can use it all winter indoors to sharpen putting I would recommend
You brought up a point at the end that occurred to me when I first saw it installed. How much will having that weight on the end, change the swing? And if you have to change your grip, like moving down on the grip to keep from holding the device itself, how will that change the stroke. Most people would think it would be negligible but swing weight is a tricky thing. Not necessarily a deal breaker, but I'd have to take any of the measurements with a grain of salt. BTW, how long do you thing the attachment is going to last, being pulled off and on during a round? Are replacements available, and how much? Good review with an honest opinion. Thanks.
As an Arccos user too, does the Blast Golf anaylizer keep cumulative stats? Would you ever use it on the golf course for any reason or is it mostly a practice range tool?
Only have so many pennies in my pocket. How far do you take it? I know we all want to play better but I have to be honest I played my best golf when I had the time and fitness to play at least twice a week which cost me no more than my membership fee. Would I make single figures, no. But I got to a reasonable standard where muscle memory was enough to get me to 16.
I just don't know if I can justify the cost for me personally. I spent $500 on a new driver late last season and I got an extra 25 yards in exchange on most of my drives ... and at the end of the season my driving was the best it has been in years in accuracy and the extra distance. So worth the money. I'm hitting about a thousand balls a week at my local heated practice range .. working mostly on my long clubs this winter. (okay ..maybe two thousand a week) So would a gadget do better than the golf ball's action off the clubface for me? I just don't know. Thanks for the info AE.
Interesting video Alex. I personally think that my Shot Scope does the job. Can't see adding anything else would be worth the cost. Thank you. #100club.
Hi Alex have you tried PHI GOLF it is similar to this aid but ultimately promotes as a game but does work at the range with distance added apparently. Can you try please ?
I had the Zepp 3D 2.0. it cheaper than this and you wear the sensor on your glove-it also shows you your swing plane. thought it was a neat little bit of kit...until my dog chewed it 🤦🏻
I looked at the reviews in Amazon Canada, and they were NOT complimentary. Apparently there is a 3rd generation which has all the bells and whistles, and Amazon Canada only carries the 1st generation...so no putting or short game analysis. Also, I've got an odyssey putter with an oversized grip...does the blast analyzer have a large size mounting sleeve for that?
Definitely, you need the latest version, but I am fairly sure that it's a software update and that is free. Certainly, my Blast bought early this year, is running the same software as in this video and giving the same information. Well worth the investment.
@@AlexElliottGolf I watched your video again..and this time I understand this tool in more detail. I guess it is worth the money. My first impression..is I know when my swing sucked...and did not it to tell me so :)
