Also i'm not sure what all combinations you tried, but it seems that using rubber on the plate, and lead for the ball, specifically in the top down configuration instead of sideways like in your design works really well. I used suspension with 0 spring and 25 damping, to gently lay the ball onto the plate with gravity. Its able to push more torque through and get up to speed quicker than lead on lead and also get a slightly higher top speed. But for whatever reason it only works well with the rubber plate and lead ball. Using Both rubber, or doing a lead plate with rubber ball seems to have issues.

Rubber has weird collision, that's why I didn't use it. However, in my newest version, it does have a rubber plate

​@@AlMagmaGamingalso what would you say if instead of the auto shift mechanism just a single centrifugal clutch to move the cvt in the "upshift" direction with a singe spring to "shift down" when letting off the throttle?
