Same. I really enjoyed this video. Their thoughtfulness and friendship really shines though. (Although I do love me some chaotic battles & pass it ons too)

Mike also keeps Ben from going a bit to far with the innuendos and double meanings. Honestly though they all work as any pair or whatever combination they want to do. It's so obvious that it's a group of good mates who have been mates for a long time before the show even existed who all just happen to have the same passion for food of all types and tastes. It works so much better than those channels or shows where they've been put together and might have become friends over time but just don't have the connection that this lot has. You can see and hear the fact that they're truly best mates who really care about each other and get along as only best mates can.

Indeed, Barry dragged two chefs to the top of a mountain just to feed him. He does love to be spoiled. 😂 (And I think his pals get joy from bestowing this love language, so it is very sweet and wholesome all around.)

Ben comes across as having a lot of genuine respect for Barry. I have heard him acknowledge/compliment Barry's creativity before, in various interviews. I remember in one he sounded really in awe about Barry's "ability to spot opportunities" when talking about their beer (mis)adventure. The way Ben tells it, it sounds like Barry is kinda the one who always comes up with whacky ideas and then drives right into __making them happen__ - starting from asking Ben to make a cookbook with him, which ultimately became the Sorted we know today.

@@whydoineedanameiwillneverp7790 Agreed. I also think they have a huge amount of respect for each other. Sure they nip at each other and crack jokes, but there is no way they could do this for so long without genuine care and understanding of each other's strengths.

Indeed, especially when you take in consideration that Barry appears to be more the way that Mike hints at in most videos. I can´t say how often i´ve been watching a video and started shouting at the screen when the words "my thinking is...." came out of Barry´s mouth. most of the times with "debatable" results that followed said "thinking"...

Yeah, this video is pure love, people spending hours working and so much effort on a gift for someone they care about and being happy while doing it ^^

I think Barry mentioned it once offhandedly in a previous video, about how fascinating it was to just watch Ben in his element in the kitchen, and that's pretty much how I felt about both Ben and Mike in this video. The efficiency and economy of movement of both a professional chef and of two people who are comfortable working together in a kitchen space was just a joy to watch. With such a delightful outcome!
